I just came on because of the brilliant(!!!!!) thread title. To whom do we owe our undying patronage?

Just now seeing this. Looks like he didn’t kick one in his own net. Huge if true.

    Or not.

Meh. He was far from the only reason that the US failed to qualify. While his mis-kick is ingrained in my memory, I can't fault him for his effort. I never saw Gonzo not giving everything he could on the field, and whether or not he should have been in the team, that wasn't his call. Heck, if Tim Howard wasn't playing on ice skates in the mud, I think he would have made the save, and we wouldn't be talking about this over and over...

Anyway, I'm over the whole thing and moved on. I hope that Gonzo has a good career, and personally wish him success (just not with the Nats going forward...)

Game ended 2-2. Atlas played up a man from the 29th minute until the 90th. Omar was beaten to a header on the first Cruz Azul goal.

All the best to him. Hope he stays out of my perspective. Because I’ve seen him halfass it way too much.

And he wasn’t all that good when he was full ass.

Went the distance in a 1-0 home loss to Morelia yesterday.

Has a header off a free kick saved at :44 in the below highlights.

Atlas lost, Omar got a yellow, and they have 0 goals scored in the first 6 games of the Apertura. It's going real great in Guadalajara.

For someone who hasn't been paying attention, why's he on the loan?
