Berkshire School faired well in London... fixtures included play against Crystal Palace Academy squad Last week they handed St Benedicts their first defeat in 36 games. A certain defensive player came all the way up on a give and go for tying goal at 72' :)

Don't be afraid to apply. This place has a moderately fair aid program.

The whole team watches tapes and help decide who gets invited.

Academically as top notch as their soccer performance

On the play where the back attacked, and got the final shot to score a goal. That does not usually happen without a pre planned plan of attack. That is practiced that is what Carlos Alberto and Franz Beckenbauer did when they played sweeper.

That tournament is not an invitational is it?

We would be invited to the Enzo Farrier tournament in Medina Italy. You had to have a history of doing well as a club team and Italian to get that invitation.

It was subsidized room and broad and transportation to Italy cost only 500 dollars per player. Coaches went for free. The players went for free paid for by the club.

We also used guest players. We practiced twice a week for at least two months before we went to play well and to make our team feel that our guest players were actually part of their team.

We actually beat AC Milan in the final. Plenty of professional scouts at that tournament from the Italian league. They interviewed four of our players. They never heard from any of those scouts.

Parents did not want us to go. They were only interested in colleges for their kids. Kids wanted to live the dream, but the parents were only interested in their kids education. Funny thing was a players were very good, but in general were terrible students. :)

This was a preseason training trip. These kids are all good students, some with the help of intensive tutoring. A lot of refugees attend. Hoping another trip to London without chaperones will lessen that allure of college
On another note this year against US number 1 rated high school team St Benedicts, Berkshire handed them their first loss in 36 games. Defensive player Jeremy Richard got the tying goal at 72' and Omar the winning shot in final seconds.
