Just identified this midfielder, 18 y/o (1999) Transfermarkt has him as a US/Ger dual. Seems he was born in Germany https://www.transfermarkt.com/benyas-solomon-junge-abiol/profil/spieler/552353 His FuPa https://www.fupa.net/spieler/benyas-solomon-junge-abiol-1123659.html Viktoria Berlin U19 play in A Junior Regionalliga Nordost Didn't see a thread for him Maybe someone can fill this information out a bit
T'Markt says he used to play for Hertha Zehlendorf and, prior to 2015, SF Elite Academy, a youth club in NorCal.
@DC_Dave better click at the TM link again. has been promoted to the 1st team who play in the RL Nordost on a 1 year contract.
I noted him in the DW thread a while ago. I've never been able to confirm his citizenship or figured out a strong American connection, though of course it's possible he has them. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/th...ive-work-thread.1987805/page-18#post-34698813
Not much to add, but here's his SVL profile page: https://fussball.lichtenberg47.de/mannschaften/li47-herren/1-herren/benyas-solomon-junge-abiol/
Here's a report that calls him a "Deutsch-Amerikaner," whatever that means. It also includes some nice words from a club official who wonders if his new club will be a "Sprungbrett," or springboard, for him. Also a pic of him with the ball: https://www.volksstimme.de/sport/lo...l-germania-halberstadt-verstaerkt-sich-weiter
I did know that, dude He joined Wuerzburger Kickers in June. The club calls him a "Deutsch-Amerikaner," whatever that means.
