spectacular dembo play. pressures, wins ball, makes the perfect one touch pass. not a play Pullisick makes, why? Because that was all brains. Pullisic wants to do it all with his running. Probably an american affliction. Why soccer when you can run?
The type of game Pulisic would thrive in. Benfica attackers destroyed Shmelzer, and then Sokratis on one-on-ones.
The Dembele hate around here is among the stupidest of the many teamate hate fests we have had on these boards. Phenomenal young talent. Dembele over ambitous pass leads to a turnover, drink. Dembele picks a pocket, plays someone in one on one with the keeper, drink.
So to spell it out. Dembo's game is more mature, ,more sophisticated. It has more depth and more cuts from the knife. It is not as reliable as Pulls game but not by much.
Dembele is obviously skilled, There's no doubt he's talented. There's also no doubt that Dortmund using him as they do will lead to many chances for Benfica, as well as Dortmund.
The Argentine Salvio (Benfica's RW) is their most dangerous player, a true dribbling demon. That's why they have Guerreiro and Durm on that side. Better to lose bite on their left, that to let Salvio make free crosses. Also, that's why Pulisic is on the bench. Just wait until the South American tires.
Well Durm is making a great case for Pulisic coming on sooner rather than later. Beautiful, relentless, clever aproach play from Dortmund again and again being completly wasted at the end. Tuchel about to have an aneurysm.
out of all the guys, I think this match is made for Kagawa. a lot of quick north south one touch play. his rice and soy.
every game I watch them it's like Groundhog Day. They blow so many chances and with their defense it's only a matter of time before it bites them.
IMO they're doing very well, generating chances in the away leg. I'm sure CP will come in once there are tired legs.
