The beer garden was open and well attended. Good Dogfish beer options, but $11 each. Still nice spot to see the game, river, and bridge.
Depends which line you're in. On Saturday, security didn't even look at me on the way in. For some games, my junk is stroked back and forth several times before I'm allowed to enter the stadium.
Being someone that works in a prison, every time I see searching, especially "pat searches", at sporting events I don't know whether to point and laugh or cringe. Even when they do pat search I'd be confident I could get in literally almost anything.
I'd really would like to see this revised. Hoping to get around early gate opening Friday, depending on pregame parking lot festivities and traffic. I'll try and put pen to paper and jot down a few selections around 102, including Dogfish and vendor carts(maybe) Although I got a EBC(?) with my pulled pork sandwich (disliked) at section 104. - The Q Barbeque other choice I noticed was Tennant, just trying to find the closest Carlsburg to 102. Although the side story to this quest was the clerk asked if I wanted my beer while the sandwich was being prepared, I responded in question to wether I was going to catch a topping off before I left for my seats. Short story shorter.. he gave me a little over 1/4 of a free beer to sip while I waited for my food (unimpressed) and he got $3 tip even though I paid with my STH account. "People helping people" he said before I left. But I will definitely travel three sections or more for a Carlsburg even though that guy made my first home opener that much more memorable.
The way the season has gone so far, it looks like I will be drinking a lot of beer this year at PPL, so I'd like to maximize the return on my beer dollars. Did anyone see any "craft" beers (Dogfish, Victory, etc.) at the permanent food counters where you can get the 10% STH discount? I only saw them in the carts where you can't use your card. Other than Bud, Bud Light, etc., the only beers I saw at the counters were the "premium" beers (Carlsberg, Tetley, Stella, etc.) for $10. Also, I haven't made it over to the new Dogfish beer deck yet, so does anyone know if they take the STH cards there?
Nice. Sounded like there was a pretty impressive waterfall coming from up top. I was hoping to find some pictures of it, but I've come up empty so far.
I have not been able to get to a game yet this season, so how is the new beer garden. Is the view from there any good?
