If Dybala can work as an IF on the right as well as he plays 10 then I’d be all over that. Even as a 10 alone he’d be a tremendous signing. In my mind he’s nailed on for Barca though, and a bid would be futile - whereas I can’t see Griezmann wanting to play against AM. If we were Citeh we’d just sign both of them.

United gearing up to another push for Griezmann next summer? www.espnfc.com/story/3213570/manchester-united-weighing-up-new-bid-for-antoine-griezmann-sources It does appear like the obvious choice here it seems. Especially with Griez's release clause back down to €100mil by then. Atleti will look to make the most of this season with him and Costa coming on board in January. Simeone staying may still be a factor, but it stands to reason that with the transfer ban over Atleti lifted, he will feel ready to go for the big money (presumably at United). He did right by Atleti, by not ditching them and leaving them in the lurch...
I'm reluctant to get sucked into Griezmannmania after Karloski was proven right. But if Karloski was actually wrong and Antoine does want to come to Old Trafford he would be an instant sensation -- or at least a sensation after getting used to the pace of the EPL after 3-4 games.
Griezz would have signed for United if not for Atletis transfer ban. I have no doubts that we'll be in for him agiain.
I'd like to hear from Karloski on this point. He was quite emphatic that his friend, who himself was a personal friend of Griezmann, told him that he had no interest in joining United. But that may have been then and we all know money talks. And that Antoine's close friend, Paul, has taken up residence at Old Trafford.
There is nothing behind them. Just papers trying to get clicks. That being said he is not an upgrade on what we have and would be a lateral move at best.
This keeps coming back Manchester United will make a move to sign Arsenal's Mesut Özil on a free when his contract ends next summer. (Source: Independent) pic.twitter.com/Rd5wBrZkbb— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) October 3, 2017
Since leaving Germany, Ozil has only ever excelled when surrounded by finishers with pace while he plays as a 10 and is allowed to float all game. He's not good enough to accommodate. Griezmann will happen, Miki will move to RW, and Griez will play behind Lukaku.
I don't rate Özil either but you kind of just made a case for him. Lukaku, Rash, and Martial are all finishers with pace.
1. Rashford is not a finisher. 2. Ozil wouldn't be allowed to just stroll around. Miki tracks back and attempts to play defense.
oh well, guess all the complaints about a 10 not doing enough, being passive or drifting out of the game will continue then
Over the summer said Pogba did not have pace now you say Rashford is not a finisher. Take a break dude.
You're telling me that a guy that played 32 games last season and over 1700 minutes in the league but only scored 5 goals is a finisher? Get the ******** outta here with that nonsense.
Rashford is only 19 years old. He's got plenty of time to go from being one of the top three finishers on the planet under the age of 21 to being one of the top finishers on the planet, period.
United are keeping an eye on Dries Mertens. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-dries-mertens-13724443 Given the amount of his release clause, he'd be a great short term, alternative option should other targets somehow fall thru. If nothing else, would provide the club with a high quality player until they can locate and sign a more long term option.
