I know most Battery fans see the links to match photos that are posted on the Battery's Facebook page but for our opponents and other lurkers, I thought I'd start a thread just for links to photo galleries. Mrs. BT is on the pitch snapping away at every home match and below are her galleries. From Wednesday's USOC match vs. Miami: http://www.kimmorgangregory.com/SPO...n-BATTERY-2015/US-Open-Cup-BATTERY-vs-MiamiFC Here's the rest of this year's galleries, including Carolina Challenge Cup and 1 day of trials. http://www.kimmorgangregory.com/SPORTS/SOCCER/CHARLESTON-BATTERY/Charleston-BATTERY-2015 (also included is the New York vs. Orlando CCC match because....well, just because it was special)
Batts vs Charlotte Independence snaps from 5/23. http://www.kimmorgangregory.com/SPO...Charleston-BATTERY-2015/BATTERY-vs-Charlotte/
Photos from last night's big USOC win over FT. Lordy Strikers. I missed Ricky's cartwheel.....never could do those, which is a good thing I guess. http://www.kimmorgangregory.com/SPO...on-BATTERY-2015/BATTERY-FtLauderdale-OPENCUP/
From the Wilmington match last Saturday. It was Military night, so Battery players (and fans) were decked out in their finest camo gear. http://www.kimmorgangregory.com/SPO...harleston-BATTERY-2015/BATTERY-vs-Wilmington/
A little history lesson regarding one of the flags displayed in the gallery, the Moultrie Flag. One of our supporters is a fire fighter and showed up at a match several years ago with this flag. It was flown over Ft. Moultrie in 1776 when Col. Moultrie defended Sullivan's Island against the British Navy. The patriots were building a fort there when the Brits attacked with 9 warships. The good guys fought all day and repelled the Brits & the fort was later named Ft. Moultrie in his honor. Col. Moultrie says in his memoirs that "this was the first American flag displayed in the South." There is some dispute about how this flag actually looked in 1776 though. The version below seemed to be the one that most people thought to be the original: However, after a resident of Sullivan's Island went to the fort and went through their archives & spoke to the Fort's historians, he concluded there was no word on the flag at all (below) when the battle was fought but most likely was added shortly thereafter. When the locals came to the fort after the battle and painters painted the scene, the flag had already been modified with the word LIBERTY in the crescent and that's the version that is the most popular today. In any event, whether we fly version 1, 2 or 3, it's pretty cool when we can show some local history that goes back to the Revolutionary era. Lastly, most people, even South Carolinians, think the crescent is the moon....it is not, it's a gorget, a piece of metal worn by soldiers around their necks for protection. Since school has let out, there will be no test, have a good summer.

Here are the photos from last week's Orlando USOC match. http://www.kimmorgangregory.com/SPO...-BATTERY-2015/BATTERY-vs-Orlando-US-Open-Cup/ Sorry it's taken awhile as getting these photos up obviously took a backseat to the events that happened last Wednesday night at Emanual AME church in downtown Charleston. We went downtown last Saturday and also Sunday morning to Mother Emanuel as well as the event on the bridge Sunday night & Ms. BT took photos at them as well. If you're interested, you'll find them on her site in the EVENTS section. Thanks to Richmond, Louisville, Charlotte, DC United and any other club I might not know about for the support you showed our city.

Photos from the exciting 3-1 win over Charlotte Independence. Good to see former CofC & Battery player and coach Troy Lesesne back, many fans were chatting him up but at the end, obviously disappointed in the result that kept his Charlotte team out of the playoffs. I work with a former CofC backup GK that played with Troy, said he use to shoot on him after training & scored on him 99% of the time. Of course, when I was talking to Troy Saturday night, I said I worked with a former GK teammate of his that he could never score on. LOL...... http://www.kimmorgangregory.com/SPO...harleston-BATTERY-2015/BATTERY-vs-Charlotte-/

And here's a bonus gallery of a review of the entire season, from preseason, to Carolina Challenge Cup, thru the regular season, to US Open Cup, to the West Brom friendly, and finally to the playoffs. Pack a snack and pull up a 6 pack, it's a long gallery and will take you some time to go thru it......but what else you got to do in the offseason? http://www.kimmorgangregory.com/SPO...n-BATTERY-2015/BATTERY-2015-SEASON-FAVORITES/
