Basti is a better defender than our defende
Hot day (apparently thought it was pretty nice). Wheels on the bus where pretty much parked so I guess he figured why not.

Felt he was needed there. Juninho is a much more attacking player than Dax, so Basti was probably compensating for that. He did it last week too.

Probably better than most fans and definitely better than the coach

One would think that, by now, it would be included in autocorrect.

My prediction at the halfway point of the season.

Bastian signs for two or three more years and converts to center back, ala Lubos Kubik.

He is playing almost as a sweeper lately.

Anything that keeps him in Chicago I'm cool with.

What's the gossip on how he likes the city/team/league? On TV it doesn't look like he gets involved in the goal celebrations.

Judging by social media posts it looks like both him and his wife love the city. But with his money , summertime and living on the gold coast I would think .. it would be hard not to love Chicago .
Niko and his family also appear to love Chicago...they also live on the gold coast and he posts some killer lake shots from their high-rise condo.

Schweini was an absolute monster for Bayern and Germany, but he's been completely shot for the last two years. He was hugely popular with Utd fans, despite not being good enough to get anywhere near the team. That should tell you all about what an influential figure he is.

Honestly, he can barely run these days, but his football intelligence, technique, ball retention, positioning, and leadership skills are just several levels above anyone else in this league. He's the type of player that has a multiplying effect on the others around him, because he helps them play. More often than not, it's just his simple, effective passing and movement that set the metronomic rhythm for a team. It's no surprise he has had a huge effect.

As a United fan, I hope he does well. He's a player i'd have given my left nut for the club to sign five years ago, but when he did eventually come 2 years ago, he had declined so badly, that he was basically a passenger whenever he came on. It's great to see such a classy player, having a nice denouement to his career. Long may it continue.

Well, the fetishism of the EPL and anglicizing the sport at all levels is revolting.

How can you anglicize a sport that is, in essence, Anglo?

The Anglo part of the sport is the part when you lose a game, right?

You really are stupid. Next you'll be wafting over to the Italy forums to correct people for calling the sport calcio.

The EPL is the Qatar of sports leagues. In Qatar 88% of the population is foreign workers. In the EPL 70% of the players are foreign workers. And their record on civil rights is just as bad. Every year 20+ men are tortured by having to play for Sunderland.
