And there is precedent in previous badges. Most who follow football know the crest without the FCB. James

Video is embedded in the article, Messi's first 15 minutes with the first team was 15 years ago TODAY (16 November 2003) against Jose's Porto in an exhibition to open their then new stadium, Messi nearly scored a couple times and also nearly assisted but Barca lost 2-0 https://www.sport-english.com/en/ne...-since-leo-messi-made-his-barca-debut-7151678
Thanks for the link, great interviews, wish they had a bit more game content in places. It was really interesting when they talked about the motivational video before the 2009 final, and Valdes said it made them both late to the field to warm up and teary too, so it did not work so well at first, here's that video:
I think all of it is not really need to most of us . I don’t pay too much attention to rumors so seeing some of the attrition between Pep and the players at the end was a bit more than I imagined . It’s funny to see how big Eto’o ‘s ego is .
Curiosity .. Messi didn't score in a 5 goal rout. 2 assists though. I still don't know how the ball popped over Xavi's shoulder in the first goal. Always a pleasure seeing Iker's face after Barca scored.

Yeah, we should've gotten an earlier penalty for the foul on Messi just inside the box, but Van Persie should not have been carded for shooting after the whistle, that was a really dubious 2nd yellow. Even then the own goal put us under lots of pressure, finally we scored twice late to tie then break the deadlock, only for them to have a nice break which required a famous "anus ripping" tackle from Mascherano to help keep us alive. Definitely nice to see all the old heroes, only 2 still with us who featured in that game: Messi and Busquets (maybe Pique was injured or suspended). We looked so much more convincing in the final that year. 3-1 over ManU at Wembley. The quarterfinal we blew out Shaktar, the semifinal was a Clasico, but we won 0-2 at their place in the first leg which made it pretty comfortable though the goals came late: . So really Arsenal was the closest we came to elimination that year.

Found this on Reddit today, a great look at a sort of trouble period for the club, 1996-2006, in between Johan's departure and Messi's ascendancy. Highly worth it especially if you were not a big Barca fan at the time, but it is a half hour long:
Finally watching the eight-part doc of our 2018-19 season, Matchday: Inside FC Barcelona. As far as I know, it is not available to watch in the US. Episode 1: ‘A football classic’ 2018 5-1 Clasico at home - Coutinho, Suarez x3 (PK), Vidal Players highlighted are Pique and Suarez Episode 2: 'Enemy territory' Copa semi matchup with LPB, when Leo was injured, couldn't play the first leg. 1-1 draw at home - Malcom goal 0-3 win, and advanced to the final - Suarez x2 (PK), Varane OG Players highlighted are MATS, Cillessen, Sergi Roberto, and Malcom. Very cool to see things from the inside, and get a peek of the players' personalities and home life. If anyone wants a link that has English subtitles, send me a PM.
