Laszlo Kleinheisler will join the training camp in Belek on Tuesday for a trial. He's also scheduled to participate in the test match next Friday.
I heard some rumors about defensive midfield prospects: Thanos Petsos (Rapid Vienna) and Sebastian Rudy (Hoffenheim) are currently discussed at transfermarkt.de. Lets hope our club makes a good decision for the CDM position, it isn't really working since some time.
After the stunning 7-0 vs. Adana Demirspor, Werder struggled today a bit (I judge it as a good sign, so Skripnik can see what changes must be made). Werder - Erzgebirge Aue 1-3 Skripnik gave many substitute and reserve players a chance. Papunashvili could score for Werder. Sivaspor - Werder 0-0 Werder could create good chances, but failed to convert them.
Rudy is a decent midfield option but I'm not sure how much he would cost. If he's available for 2-3 Mio then the move might be feasible. Reading through Petsos' TM profile and looks like he's all set to leave Rapid Vienna this summer when his contract expires. So he'll be available for free then. Having a pretty good season too. Helping them advance in the Europa league group stage while also staying in the hunt for the Austrian league title.
http://www.kreiszeitung.de/werder-b...tlich-einem-bundesligisten-einig-6020306.html Petsos' aim is to play in the Bundesliga next season and appears he may have already reached an agreement with a club. Originally from Leverkusen's youth academy, he then played in 2.BL with Kaiserslautern and Greuther Fürth. At the shamrocks was where he became known to Rouven Schröder who worked as a manager there at that time.
http://www.vavel.com/en/internation...tsos-to-join-werder-bremen-in-the-summer.html Thanos Petsos confirmed, and will join Werder this summer.
Eichin will speak to Leverkusen in the upcoming months to try to extend the loan of Öztunali. Quality talent of course but not sure if this is completely necessary. Grillitsch is gonna be another year matured while we have Maxi Eggestein waiting to find his breakthrough. Papunashvili could also make it if he continues to shine and we pick up his purchase option. http://www.transfermarkt.de/eichin-...e-gesprache-aufnehmen-ldquo-/view/news/222717
http://www.espnfc.com/story/2785293/jordan-morris-does-things-you-rarely-see-werder-bremen-ceo Jordan Morris making a strong impression in training with good chance of being offered a professional contract. Final decision will be revealed in the next few days.

However, Sternberg got an ankle injury in that game and will likely be out for at least 3 weeks. In the other friendly, Werder drew 2-2 with FK Austria Wien with goals by Bartels and Oztunali. Young central defender, Jesper Verlaat also made his debut.
Highlights vs Inter Baku and summary of training camp. Both players on trial, Morris and Kleinheisler displayed several good moments. Very active and involved throughout the match. Hope they get contract offers. They both provide different elements of play that can boost our team and make a solid push for the Rückrunde.

Kleinheisler almost a done deal, signing should be finalized in the next few days. Currently negotiating the transfer fee with his old club Videoton, and is expected to end up around € 300,000. http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/werder-bremen/laszlo-kleinheisler-kommt-44188652.bild.html
Wow this came out of nowhere, Lukimya sold to Liaoning for 2 Mio. He's expected to arrive in China on Tuesday to complete his medical and contract signing. Eichin says part of the transfer gains will go towards finding a replacement who can contribute right away.
Lennart Thy's return to Werder this summer also made official. http://www.werder.de/de/profis/news/57694.php
We're now in the market for a back up goalkeeper as Zetterer will be out for 3-4 months due to a broken hand. According to Kicker, negotiations are already underway for a new central defender with an English club. I think possible candidates may be Vertonghen or Koscielny. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/..._lukimya-geht---kommt-ersatz-aus-england.html
Morris and Papunashvili continue to train with the pros back in Bremen. Guwara may also get a chance to move up now that Sternberg is out with injury.
Have confirmed independently that Werder Bremen has offered Jordan Morris a contract. Choice vs Seattle is now his. https://t.co/drHEmzeTm1— Subscribe to GrantWahl.com (@GrantWahl) January 18, 2016

Werder invited Michael Langer, 31 years old Austrian goalie, current without contract for a trial to compensate the loss. All the best on the way to recovery for Zetterer though.
Pretty reasonable decision. The back up won't necessarily play much and we only really need someone like that for a short term basis. We also recently extended the contract of Eric Oelschlägel who along Zetterer are more options for the future. But right now it's more beneficial for him to get regular match practice with the reserves first.
