    btw -

I reckon that's a 50-50 game with a slight edge to Man United, mostly due to De Gea

United will win comfortably. 3-0 on aggregate or so IMO.

Don't know a thing about Porto these days... need to keep an eye on them before the first leg.

So the teams for QF draw are set.

Ahead of the draw, 538 currently has us 6th favorites to go through, which is probably about right.

    https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/champions-league/

All the teams I wanted to avoid are out, so I don't really care who we get. I suppose I wouldn't want City over 2 legs, but the same could be said for any of the big teams really.

Trying to decide if i'd want the first leg at home or not. With extra time/pens and possibly already having away goals in the bag, having the second leg at home is probably on balance better, especially against teams we'd be favored against. That said, there have been plenty of big ties where we've been at home in the first leg and jumped out to a big lead, so against the stronger teams, being at home wouldn't be the worst thing as it would allow us to remain in the tie. You go to Bayern RM or Barca and you could be 3-0 down by halftime and the tie is dead in 45 minutes.

Juve can give us problems even though old men patrol their defense.

I think we can cause Barca problems the way Ox and Can can run with the ball at midfield, tho we may need to score 6 goals to win that tie.

Real Madrid or Bayern? NO THANKS, even though we did beat Bayern in that meaningless pre-season game.

Roma would be a dream draw and continue our luck of relatively easy Champions League draws this year.

Sevilla would be a fair fight but I want a glamour draw.

City would be fun and I think we can play with them.

I'm hoping for anyone other than RM and Bayern.

I'd be happy with either of the Italians but not scared of anyone.

First leg away for me. Try and pinch a "couple" :) of away goals. Then have a European night at Fortess Anfield.

Well see who we have tomorrow night (Friday) I don't much care.

I only know two names back there Chiellini. He hasn't been the same since Suarez ate his shoulder and old man Bufon. I still like him but he's 64 now.

We'd need to sign players with special features like this:

Less travel, and we know how to beat them. As long as there's no dumb red cards, we should be able to go toe to toe with them.

Probably the team I least wanted to see this round. Not that we can't win but I'd have preferred we face a side that's not so familiar to us . City and Lpool know each other inside out . I think we could have surprised a number of teams but not City .

You knew the fix was in. They wanted to set up Barca, Real, and Munich for the best shot at Semis. And only one English team. We have our work cut out for us

Oh and it’s completely random with no fix in. That’s why the first three teams got their dream draw.
