    awful just awful.

    The first half was a disaster.

    The second half started off well but the dutch are just too strong.

    4-1 in the 71st min right now.

    LOL.. 1-1 Mexico tied it up near end of 1st half.

    should be about 5 or 6 to 1 for us... total domination.. just need to bear down and get another goal or two

    2-1 Azzurrini

    Luca Ranieri with the goal just shortly following a corner kick.

    Comes right after another crossbar and another subsequent opportunity for Pinamonti in the box

    And the other result went our way as well with a 1-1 draw between Japan and Ecuador.

    If anyone missed it, Di Biagio named his provisional squad for the 2019 U21

    Goalkeepers: Emil Audero (Sampdoria), Alex Meret (Napoli), Lorenzo Montipò (Benevento);

    Defenders: Claud Adjapong (Sassuolo), Alessandro Bastoni (Parma), Kevin Bonifazi (Spal), Arturo Calabresi (Bologna), Davide Calabria (Milan), Fabio De Paoli (Chievo Verona), Federico Dimarco (Parma), Sebastiano Luperto (Napoli), Giuseppe Pezzella (Genoa), Filippo Romagna (Cagliari);

    Midfielders: Francesco Cassata (Frosinone), Gaetano Castrovilli (Cremonese), Manuel Locatelli (Sassuolo), Rolando Mandragora (Udinese), Alessandro Murgia (Spal), Sandro Tonali (Brescia), Luca Valzania (Frosinone);

    Forwards: Federico Bonazzoli (Padova), Patrick Cutrone (Milan), Simone Edera (Bologna), Gabriele Moncini (Cittadella), Riccardo Orsolini (Bologna), Vittorio Parigini (Torino).

    It’s obvious that Zaniolo, Kean, Chiesa, Barella etc. will be assigned to the senior squad for the upcoming qualifiers, but it’s unfortunate that we won’t be putting our best foot forward for this tournament

    They really should be on the U21 to make an obvious effort to win it. Donnarumma too. Hope the players overcome Di Biagio.

    Well that sucks. The senior team doesn't need those players for the two qualification games in June.

    You'd think with the tournament being held in Italy, they would put their best possible players on that team to try and win it. *sighs

    They suffered towards the end, but overall they created the better chances.

    Ecuador looked very impressive but for Plizzari. They proved it vs Uruguay with a big 3-1 win.

    Maybe Plizzari makes Donnarumma expendable?

    It may have been asked before but why isn’t Moise Kean on the U20 team?

    We get Mali in the Quarterfinals after the Africans beat Argentina in a shootout. Mali scored a playground style goal in ET stoppage time to equalize.

    Argentina and France go down today with the mantle of tournament favorites. Italy must be considered favorites now, lets go win this!
