according kicker, seems like Ravet (Frenchie), Terrazzino (oldie), Kath (oldie) and 97-Rudlin are all winter exit candidates, aka Summer 2020 contracts. Even Abrashi (Swiss), Kubler and Haberer only have 2020 contract but those 3 seem like they might either extend or leave for free in Summer.

could maybe open up spots for others though and reduce the 1st team squad.

forgot to mention, the Northern Ireland game. According to dfb, S.Muller scored an OG and super sub Jastremski tied it for the comeback. So basically we screwed ourselves in that game. Should have been a win and not a draw. Glad it was a friendly and not a competitive game.

"We had a lot of clear chances to score, but the Northern Irishmen have a ricochet that leads to an unfortunate own goal," said Streichsbier. "Our three opponents have always had little chance, we have not allowed much, four points down the line we are the defensive performance of the team too little, we have to deal with the fact that we make more goals from our many opportunities, we must be callous Then it can be a good thing for us. "

pretty much inability to score on chances but strong defense. Defense will be key for this age group.

    a double Berlin update

-Union want to reduce squad from 32 to 27-28. Yeah shows my point about how these clubs are stupid for having squads of over 30 players, when matchday squads are 20 players.......Anyways they want a 6, which makes you think why did 00-Arcones get a pro contract if they don't plan on using him? Sounds like the obvious.......he got a pro contract to make him one of the local players. At least send the kid on loan, sheesh. No mention of Arcones in the article. While according to article, 99-Kade is headed out but on loan, unlike the others facing the axe. 99-Maloney also seems headed out on loan even if not listed in article.
    http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/unions-transferplan-fur-den-winter_111176

-Herha are dumping 3 players in Winter,
98-Friede, Esswein (oldie) and Kopke (oldie). Also says that 97-Torunarigha wants to leave but unlikely to be allowed to leave in Winter.
    http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/hertha-trio-kann-die-koffer-packen_111165

I'm not surprised by Torunarigha, although he has a lot of potential seems like he has non sporting issues. Friede never really impressed honestly neither for Germany nor Hertha. Although he has the tools to at least be a solid pro. And can't be helped he turns 22 in April and still hasn't made career progress table wise, still stuck in RL. He did do well on loan in Belgium 1st division last season before being injured. And seems like he has no future at Hertha. Would guess 2BL in Winter, if he stays in Germany.

wonder if Friede out is a chance for 01-Albrecht (already has pro contract) or even for 99-Krebs (has done well in U19-II when he's fit, recently cameback from an injury. Was injured from Aug 18-early Nov). While Esswein and Kopke out, does this open spots for Ngankam/Samardzic/P.Dardai/Jastrzembski (when fit again)? Would say 98-Covic should leave in Winter.

I knew 00-Beckenbauer was playing at Heimstetten in RL Bayern but did not know that the son of Stefan Reuter (ex Bayern/FCN/Juventus/Dortmund player who won every trophy at club and NT for Germany back in the 90s) also plays there. His son is also called 00-Stefan Reuter, lol, so Jr. 00-Reuter came from the Unterhaching Academy before than he came from 1860 Munich. Seems to be a CM. Their team isn't a good one either but both are starting

An interview with them and the captain of their club.
    https://www.merkur.de/sport/amateur...d-riglewski-ziel-ist-bundesliga-13155408.html

sounds like 00-Beckenbauer and 00-Reuter are using the club as a stepping stone and their goal is 1BL, they got 2020 contracts. Will they move up to 2BL-3rd Liga in Summer??? Beckenbauer is a weird one, leaves Bayern youth and moves to Schalke due to his father dying and wanted a change of scenery. Than at Schalke becomes captain of U17, the following season his 1st U19 one, he misses out the whole season injured. Then gets poached by H96 (one of the Academy head guys worked at Schalke, which is why H96 keeps poaching players from there). At H96, he's the U19 captain and rated by the club and even played numerous 1st team friendlies and Summer 2019 camp and got praised but then he got home sick and left to go back to the Bayern area. H96 was also disappointed as seemed like he could have made down the line.

whether they pan out in long run or not who knows. Majority of kids of ex German pros have amounted to little as players. Time will tell, but seems like both will have to take longer route to go up.

-seems like 99-Maina might be fit again and could be available for the weekend for H96 yet at the same time, they might not want to risk him this soon after numerous fitness issues.

-while 99-Kade who seems possibly headed for loan in Winter. Maybe not, seems to be progressing well.

MISTAKEN? EX-HERTHA-TALENT KADE ALSO WAITS FOR BREAKTHROUGH IN UNION
"I'm young, I'll do everything I can to get my chances, I'm always ready, I'm not desperate," said the offensive player to the Berlin courier.

The competition for the youngster, who can play on the wing or in attacking midfield, has thus become even bigger. A total of 12 newcomers were able to commit the iron before the season.

In the international break Kade could at least once again provide an exclamation point. In the friendly game against Holstein Kiel met the substitute Ex-Herthaner to 3-0 final score. "Such a goal gives confidence in any case," said the professional to the courier.

Coach Urs Fischer sees the 20-year-old on the right track: "He is making progress and is on the right track, but he has to stick to it, keep working on himself."
    https://www.tag24.de/nachrichten/1-...bsc-durchbruch-laesst-auf-sich-warten-1290473

article also highlights 2 things I mentioned.
1- that when he joined it was unknown if Union was headed for 1BL or staying in 2BL.
I fully think he might have been given chances from begining had they stayed in 2BL.

2-The squad is just too big.......

and a bonus mention. I swear I recall Fischer was one of those 1BL coaches who is iffy about players from U19 or lacking in pro experience. Those coaches are always problematic even if understandable that they care about results otherwise could risk their jobs.
Well he seems to be getting closer and closer assuming no Winter loan.....

    -Neuhaus extends until 2024

-99 Kubler is getting closer to comeback .
Midfielder Kübler reported in Bild (issue of 15.11.2019) of the rehab after his shoulder surgery: "It goes ahead. Currently I am in the process of jogging and I hope to be able to do more and more soon. "

-Seems like Bayern and Man City are interested in 98-Geiger.
    Löw raves about Geiger's qualities
Nonetheless, he is one of the largest midfield talents in German football. The 1.72-meter violinist can hold all positions in the central office. Actually more on the six at home, he is currently used by Schreuder rather than eighth, a little offensive. Geiger could already play three assists this season.

The good performances have already noticed Joachim Loew. The national coach spoke to Sport1 about the Hoffenheim before the final qualifier against Northern Ireland: "Dennis is a very good player who plays the leading role in the U21 as a player, he is technically good and has developed well, he is a player with great perspective, we constantly value all U21 national players. "

FC Bayern and Man City have Geiger on the slip
Geiger was already rated by Bayern. The record champion is to express after Sport1 information interest in violinists. This is probably also due to the strong performance of TSG's own crop at the Hoffenheim victory in Munich. Ex-FCB coach Niko Kovac is said to have pronounced him a special praise after the game.

But not only in Munich Geiger is already on the radar. Pep Guardiola had already made a personal impression of Geiger last season when TSG met in the Champions League group on Man City. Not by chance, the Skyblues are also considered interested - Guardiola is a fan of Geiger states. That would fit, reminds Geiger but with its kind to a certain Joshua Kimmich - his character Guardiolas pattern pro with the Bayern.
    https://www.90min.de/posts/6500153-...ity-heiss-auf-tsg-eigengewaechs-dennis-geiger

really makes Bayern's Academy pointless when they always go after players from other clubs. As for Geiger he should play a full season without injuries 1st before thinking of leabing.

Germany U17 lost to Greece 2-0. Not the end of the world since we already qualified for Elite Round but man this coach is pathetic.
Always find it interesting how most German youth NT coaches don't get the best out of their players.

why exactly are we constantly playing a false 9 with Calhanoglu #3 (I could care less if he's sometimes deployed uptop for Hoff he's not a CF and more of the issue of how clubs play non CFs uptop in youth levels who are very doubtful to be CFs at pro)? I'm curious to know when has false 9 ever really worked well for Germany? All I constantly see is non stop failure doing so, even more failure than when we do play CF. It's just not effective at all. A CF who plays for Germany also does more than score too. Calhanoglu started 3/3 matches with 2/3 as CF and he only scored 2 goals but only once as CF and it was in easier matchup.

Also Wuck blundered with Gunther, I understand he was keeping him for the Greece game but why was he unused bench player in Game 1 and 2? This was his 1st game of the qualifiers and he was in XI, he didn't even get some practice in previous 2 games playing with the team. That's not really a +, should have been used at least as a sub in those game. We also underutilized players like Schmidt, Trujillo and a few others.

this team really needed Gedikli/Matanovic, too bad both were unfit. Also Wirtz (cameback like last weekend), Gencoglu (seems out), Wollschlager (seems out), Ernst (out) and could be other options to consider on top of Ibrahimi and Barata. Not sure why Barata was left out? Team could easily look different in attack come March.

will say there are + to failure, good learning curve for coach and players and better now than later. This is why I was glad we had no bye to Elite Round. It's why there is more struggles, competitive games and fighting for pts is always different.

    lol, better now than later.
"We played a decent first half, had a crossbar and two more good chances, we were superior," said Wück after the match. "In the second half, we're losing track and no longer appearing as a team, and the boys have to learn that a team is always stronger than eleven individual players, which has given the Greeks the win today."

    club friendlies
-Karlsruher beat RL Ulm 3-2. Ulm has actually done well vs bigger teams in recent years.
Karlsruher XI: Hanek, Kother, Batmaz, Groiss, Trivunic (01)
Bench: Lohr (01), Trkulja (02), Herm (01), Rabold (01), Demir (02). Believe they all played except for Lohr who is a GK.

Goals scored by Batmaz and Kother X2, so all goals were scored by youth players. So will Kother and Batmaz finally make their debuts in 2BL? No II team, they either are unused bench or fail to make the matchday squads.

Rolke? who was never called up by Wuck for any game at any level before these qualifiers (only call ups for Camps) is expected to play like a champ? Game 1 Rolke unused bench, Game 2 starter in his 1st game EVER for Germany, lol. Game 3, unused bench. Also if I recall his name wasn't even in the initial squad announcement, he was added later too. Kid is likely not in-tune with the team.

Turan is not a newbie to dfb, he's been a regular during all of U17 and Game 1, was the simplest for Germany from the 3 as well. The 2nd game is the one they parked the bus in their box too.

And the moment Calhanoglu #3 started vs a decent opponent he flopped at CF.........Point is he's not a CF, and then is it surprising that dfb and Germany sucks ass at dev CFs? False 9 crap, terrible training program, injury issues, lacking in different areas, list goes on and on. Then you got Bierhoff, Low and so many others always highlighting CF issues and need to fix that. Yet it's comedic when dfb talk about how youth NT is to dev players. Yet where are they dev CFs when they play false 9? Or how does it solve anything?

you also had Schmidt/Sieb who were called up. Schmidt was unused in this match as well. Those 2 should have been used more.

well anyways once Gedikli/Matanovic are back no need for false 9 crap.

concerning U17, this is what happens when you always call up the same players everytime, the back ups or other call ups will lack experience/team cohesion. That Gedikli started good chunk of games for this group ended up being a -.

Add Borussia Dortmund on the long list interested in 02-Adeyemi.

    Candidate at Sancho Departure
Exclusive: BVB focuses on 17-year-old Adeyemi - initial contact is made

According to transfer market information, the Catalans have failed with an initial offer of 15 million euros for the attacker currently lent by RB Salzburg to FC Liefering - and continue to have strong interest. But that's not all: as our editors learned, the 17-year-old junior national team player of the DFB is also on the board at Borussia Dortmund.

According to information, the Black and Yellow deal with Adeyemi, especially in the event of Jadon Sancho's (19) departure this coming summer. The center forward is also increasingly used as a winger at Liefering. A first contact on the part of the black-yellow to the environment Adeyemis has already existed.

    Last stand
Barça offered 15 million for Adeyemi - also Arsenal & Liverpool
Zur NewsBei his parent club Red Bull Salzburg is currently lent to the Austrian second division Adeyemi until 2021 under contract. In addition to the BVB and Barça, which wants to prepare the offensive man in perspective for the first team, show after Transfermarkt information also Arsenal FC and Liverpool interested in the native Munich.

Most recently Barcelona was in the race for the DFB international obviously in pole position. Would a transfer fee beyond 15 million. for Adeyemi flow, this could penetrate into the top 3 of the most expensive U18 players in the world. So far, Alexandre Pato, Pietro Pellegri and Willem Geubbels have taken the leading positions in this ranking. At Liefering junior national player Adeyemi is currently top scorer with five goals this season.

In Dortmund, the last unhappy acting Englishman Sancho is considered a candidate for a departure after the current season. However, sporting director Michael Zorc recently opposed assumptions that the formidable English international wanted to provoke a swift change in many places described as listless performances. There is "no indication whatsoever", Zorc told the "Funke Mediengruppe". Sancho's contract with BVB is valid until June 2022.

Kluivert Barca head of youth talks 02-Adeyemi.

Ex-Hachinger Adeyemi to Barca? Kluivert confirmed personally: "I know him ..."
Where does the path of former Hachinger Karim Adeyemi lead? For Patrick Kluivert, head of the youth department at FC Barcelona, Adeyemi is no stranger.

Karim Adeyemi (17) is in the notebooks of top European clubs
Especially the FC Barcelona should have the junior national team on the list
Patrick Kluivert, head of the Barca junior department, does not deny an interest

Where does the path of Karim Adeyemi lead? Although trained at the SpVgg Unterhaching center forward is only 17 years old, but apparently one of the most exciting personalities in the coming transfer periods.

The rise of the native of Munich in the past two years is meteoric. In the summer of 2018, Adeyemi joined Red Bull Salzburg at the age of 16. The Hachinger saw the departure with a laughing and a crying eye - because the youngster was "the largest transfer in the club's history", as President Manni Schwabl later admitted.

Karim Adeyemi: Fritz Walter Medal in Gold 2019
The Salzburg sent the most expensive youth player in Germany equal to FC Liefering, the own farm team in the 2nd league of Austria. In his first season he came to 20 missions, scored six goals and put four goals on his teammates.

So far, Adeyemi has been doing well in the 2019/20 round. In the current season, he scored seven goals for Liefering in the second league and the Youth League in 14 games and prepare five goals. In August, he experienced with the honor of the best U17 youth player in Germany a preliminary career highlight. At the latest by the award with the Fritz Walter Medal in gold, the European top clubs FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC and Arsenal London became aware of the top talent. Above all, the Spanish top club should deal with him for a long time, but flashed off with a first offer to RB Salzburg.

Patrick Kluivert on Karim Adeyemi: "A very good player"
Meanwhile, the Catalans should be ready to spend 15 million for the 17-year-olds. Parick Kluivert, head of the legendary Barca football school "La Masia" since summer, spoke in an interview with "Mundo Deportivo" about rumors and the possible transfer fee. "That's what's being said," said the 79-times national player of the Netherlands. "We will see what happens in the future. I know him, he is a very good player ".

A denial sounds different. The Hachinger, who are already "incredibly proud", hopefully in a transfer to a high transfer fee. As a training club, the third division deserves every change.

Concerning Kevin Schade, had a conversation With him after the Northern Ireland match

he said his natural position is CF, not winger. Not a false 9 whatsoever, he is 184cm tall now and wanna develop as a centre forward

he said he is playing more CF than RW in Freiburg too. So Dfb U19 are actually playing him at his natural position, just that he isn’t consistently delivering

So now the priority of strikers should be Gedikli, Tony Rolke and Matanovic. Gunther can play all three positions up top.

Rolke is called up and I think he has some potential. Wanna see him more

Wuck said he likes what he saw from Rolke

I m expecting Sieb to fade out from the team as he doesn’t really have a position in a 433 formation, he’s more like a SS

maybe Gedikli, Rolke, Matanovic n Gunther will be in the rotation. We tend to choose 2 n a half strikers, as each position should only have 2 covers in a 23 men squad

    I m expecting Gedikli, Rolke/Matanovic and Günther.

Rolke n Matanovic is similarly rated, similar size as well. Rolke is taller than his listed size at 184cm, maybe closer to 188cm now (update)

of course it doesn't include 00-Massimo already part of the matchday squads and 98-Awoudja who came back from Germany U21.

and then 99-Grozinger and 00-Mack seems still injured which is a shame since both were very close to 1st team in Summer. As usual, German youngsters injured at the wrong time.

    02-Meyer also injured.

DFB.de: Mr. Wück, your goal before the tournament was three wins from three games. Dissatisfied that the plan did not work?

Christian Wück: Of course we are disappointed because we did not win our last game, but our first assignment was to qualify for the next round and we achieved that. Not everything was bad against Greece. We played a decent first half and were actually superior in all respects. Only the lack of opportunity, including a post from Torben Rhein shortly before the break, has kept us from taking the lead. We really wanted to continue playing with this momentum, but then completely lost the thread. As a result, the Greeks have come into play ever better and have finally earned the victory over their commitment and will. In this point, they were ahead of us. We tried to counter it with playful means. That worked in the first half, but not in the second half.

DFB.de: What is your tournament conclusion?

Wück: We are on the right track, but we still need to develop the team in some areas. It is not about tactics or individual class, but rather about the mentality, always to go to its limits and to radiate the unconditional will to win in every game. At the moment, the team is still lacking the right tools to win games that are not up and running and have to fight defeats.

DFB.de: So was the defeat against Greece a setback at the right time?

Wück: Yeah, that's how I've told the team. The mood after the defeat was depressed, but if we draw the right conclusions, we can learn a lot from it. It's better to get a shot in front of the bow now than in the second qualifying round or even during the European Championship. We are now waiting for the draw in December and will continue to work on the development in the training camp in La Manga.

DFB.de: How can you imagine that?

Wück: We are currently unable to solve difficult situations as a team. In the second half against Greece we were eleven single players and not a team. So the point is to give the guys the tools to solve such unplanned situations better. But we will not give them the solutions but ask them to find them ourselves. We will analyze how it will look in the coming weeks.

Bayern have U20 international Christian Früchtl bound to continue. On Wednesday, the German record champions extended the contract with the 19-year-old goalkeeper for two years until June 30, 2022.

"Christian is a true Bavarian and grew up here in the club. We are glad that we have him. He has continued to evolve - and we want to continue that together, "said Sports Director Hasan Salihamidžić.

Früchtl, who moved from the SpVgg GW Deggendorf to the youngsters of FC Bayern at the age of 14, says: "It's a nice feeling that the best club in Germany gives me this confidence. I want to present myself this season in the third league and recommend for the pros. If you train with world-class players on a daily basis, you also mature personally. That's always something special for me. "

Since the season 2017/18 Früchtl is regularly in the gate of the amateurs. In the current season, the native Niederbayer (Bischofsmais) played 14 games for the U23 in the 3rd league. The 1.93 meter tall goalkeeper trained with the pros and has been in competitive matches several times in the squad.

wonder if he gets a loan of sorts next season? Based on his contract until 2022. Only chance for a loan is 2020-2021 season.

-looks like Covic wants to slowly reintroduce 99-Maier.
The head coach wants to build the defensive midfielder into the team at the right time. Commenting on Sunday's match at FC Augsburg, he said: "It would be extremely early, his last game was at the U21 European Championship in June."

A heavier caliber awaits the Berlin a week later: Then Hertha BSC meets at home on Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, November 30, 15:30 clock).

-00 Kother seems to be getting closer and closer.
    Kother with a double
Above all, many young players were given the opportunity not only to gain competitive practice, but also to show themselves. In addition to Alexander Groiß, who was already able to prove himself three times in the 2nd Bundesliga, came with Malik Batmaz and Dominik Kother also two in the summer from the U19 advanced talents to the train. And both could use the 90 minutes to recommend themselves.

At first it was Batmaz who leveled the Ulm lead half an hour before Kother scored twice in the 75th and 87th minutes. It had Kother different than the front-fronted center forward Batmaz ran in unfamiliar role. The 19-year-old, who is actually a number further up front, acted as left-back, but held offensively therefore by no means back and thus confirmed the positive training impressions.

Good chances on Kaderplatz against VfB
There, his dribbling skills and tight control of the ball were also noticed by his colleagues, who have great difficulty separating the right foot from the ball. These qualities would be the KSC well in the league everyday to face well, on his first mission Kother is still waiting.

As with Damian Roßbach and Dirk Carlson are two more left-back in the professional squad, it should not be easy for Kother, on the unfamiliar position to make the breakthrough. However, the youngster has undoubtedly set scented brands against Ulm and may hope to join the matchday squad for the third time in a row at the derby in Stuttgart. In any case, the second division debut seems no longer too far away, possibly even in a more offensive role.

    -Also more on Fruchtl.

    come on, EPL=EPL2.

Früchtl's agent Rößner: "The contract extension is the result of very open and constructive talks with Hasan Salihamidžić, who with incredible commitment, enthusiasm and attention to detail, also has the youth field of FCB in mind"

Rößner: "We have felt that Hasan is keen to introduce young players from their own academy to the professional team and thus significantly advance the objectives of Uli Hoeneß, among others"

sounds like a loan next season and yep, Uli was always the Academy enthusiast from the lot.

-99-Maina who's had constant injury/fitness issues changing his eating habits.
The boy is damn fast, technically really good, on offense a weapon for 96. But: He was missing the Red three long months!

Just in time for the Kocak debut on Monday against Darmstadt 98 Linton Maina (20) reports back in shape. "I feel great," radiates the turbo exterior. "Being back on the pitch at long last is a nice feeling."

He has worked hard in the last few weeks, not only in rehab training with the Fitmachern - even with the meals.

I hope he stays fit for rest of the season at H96 and then jump ship to 1BL in Summer. There was interest in him from 1BL clubs in Summer but he stayed loyal to H96 and went down with them to 2BL. Could be useful for U21 if he'splaying 1BL next season.

-99 Atilgan (3rd Liga loan) talking about the injury that basically cost him the entire half of the season.

-99 Amade (3rd Liga loan) is out for 4 weeks, aka basically until Winter break, shame, I really hope he can play as much as possible 2nd half of season.

All I'm seeing is sooo many players injured which will just delay their careers......more true for the guys who haven't established themselves at a higher level yet.

I would actually quite like Adeyemi to go to Dortmund, that way if Bayern sign Sane it would be possible in 3 or 4 years for Bayern to have a starting front 3 of Gnabry, Arp and Sane, and Dortmund Adeyemi, Brandt and Moukoko. Would be great for the NT.
