there seems to be way too many injuries from players just from training, over recent times a bit too many going backwards while trying to get fit again.

    knew I forget someone
    6-Boujellab

had some bench appearances this season and even played 8 1st team games last season.Internationally I don't believe he's provisionally capped tied by Morocco but he's been involved with them in U17, U20, U23.

there could be like another few like this.

    U17
X3: Gedikli (now at 10 goals in 7 games)
    X2: Keskin, Calhanoglu
X1: Tortora, Nuhanovic, Gatzke, Kohmann, Kalonji, Eitz, Hartmann, Moustfa, Haj-Yahya, Tshimuanga, Barak, Leipold
    Kastanaras, Trujillo, Muteba, Yilmaz

was wondering what was up with Luis Borrero, since he didn't play 1 game all season. Was injured, returned yesterday as a 19 min sub and assisted Matanovic for the winner.

    U19
    X3: Moukoko
X2: Dursun (5 goals in 5 games, wonder how long before Turkey comes calling?), Voelcke
X1: Yildiz, Reisinger, Roggow, Bakir, Knauff, Sarpei, Biskup, Vila, Dehl

    RL
Nieland (4th, currently at 4 goals and 2 assists in 7 games. Believe he now jumps to top 10 in RL Sudwest while being the youngest. Still hope to see Freiburg integrate him, he was part of their 1st team Summer camp from beginning to last possible moment), Ulbricht (3rd), Fleckstein (2nd), L.Herrmann (1st), Herzog (1st)

    3rd Liga
Bayern II barely gets a 2-1 win, basically needed a red card on Ingolstadt just to win the game, lol. Still just above the relegation zone. Will be a long season. Provisionally capped by Poland, Zylla scored a double in a 2-2 draw last matchday and today scored Bayern's 1st, that's already 3 goals for him. He's not a Bayern 1st team prospect but if he continues like this he could move up in Summer 2020. While the overage Wriedt hasn't done squat recently, a lot of his goals were unimpressive tbh. My main interest with Bayern II is survival, so that any real 1st team prospect will find it easier to jump to Bayern 1st team playing in 3rd Liga and the rest playing 3rd Liga will make it easier to move to 1BL-2BL clubs faster than playing RL.

Eckert scored Ingolstadt's goal in that 2-1 loss, currently at 2 goals and 1 assists in 2 games. Still not very sure how one goes from playing La Liga and Eredivisie loan to 3rd Liga movie, lol.

    2BL
-Daferner finally gets his 2nd 2BL game and he starts vs HSV but then gets subbed out at the 46st min. Really starting him vs one of the better 2BL clubs? Sucks that new coach only plays Kruger has a sub, Aue looks to have gotten worse with the benching of Kruger. Would like to see Majetschak get some chances this season too.
-Vagnoman has started the last 2 games for HSV and scored today the opening goal/winner in their 4-0 win over Aue. Interesting that he looked to have been deployed at RB today (can play both sides). Is he making himself a U21 contender? Fein continues to general the midfield, wouldn't be surprised if HSV get promotion if Fein moves there. He's one that should be in 1BL next season. Hopefully David can breakthrough the HSV XI as well, keeps being unused bench.
-98 Klaas made his XI debut for Osnabruck today playing 62 min in a 1-1 draw vs St Pauli. It was only his 2nd 2BL career game, was a sub like 2 weeks ago. While his teammate 98-Schmidt made his comeback from injury today and played 19 min as a sub, missed last 4 games due to injury. Seems like Klaas, Schmidt, Agu, Amenyido are the Osnabruck 1st team youngsters
-while 00 GK Schmidt made his 1st pro bench with St Pauli. Coordes got 11 min as a sub today, while C.Conteh being absent means he's likely unfit? 00 Becker has established himself as an XI for Pauli although given that 98-99 already have so many DM/CMs options he's likely for next cycle.

not going to name every starter/bencher. And on another note Eredivisie is one place no need to talk about game time since almost every player is a starter....

    Serie A
Chabot is currently the bench option, really is the current trend, too many benchers everywhere, close to XI but not yet there. Hopefully he breaksthrough this season to at least get 1 full season before U21 Euros.

    1BL
I really hope that Beyer can get game time this season, keeps being unused bench. Faster Barkok gets fit again the better too. Looks like Dortmund has been using their 5th 99 GK Hupe on bench recently since Hitz, Unbehaun (hope he gets fit soon) and Oelschlagel are all unfit.

seems like Vagnoman and Goller could make themselves contenders for U21. While G-L Itter is fit again and getting match practice in RL, hopefully he gets 1st team game time this season.

players mentioned are C.Conteh (who was never supposed to have played 1st team), Becker, Coordes, Carstens, Zehir, Lankford, Bednarczyk. St Pauli between U17, U19 and II have tons of other interesting players some more interesting that the ones mentioned.

-Vagnoman on scoring his 1st pro goal.
"I am very happy about that, but - from time to time I already do my goal," smiled the defender. In fact, he has a record in the current season as a scorer. In his three missions in the U21 (against Kiel II, Wolfsburg II and HSC Hannover) he met in every game.

Strong, as he drew three opponents against Aue (Hochscheidt, Kusic, Fandrich) and then pulled off with his left foot.

Vagnoman wants to take the opportunity: "It takes time for me to get involved. I give my best. That worked quite well so far. "
    https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/...fi-tor-fuer-josha-vagnoman-64871948.bild.html

have to see the highlights for that goal and one of his goals in RL against Wolfsburg II he basically went by almost all the players on the left, scoring a solo goal.

-if 98 Daschner keeps it up will be hard for Duisburg to keep him if they fail to get 2BL promotion.

Some praise on Goller and more on Bremen youth!!!

"Until his injury, he had good actions," remembers coach Kohfeldt Goller's good preparation for the season. "I trust him very much."

Another young hope came against the Leipzig also to an unexpected debut. Luc Ihorst is only 19 years old and ran this season exclusively for the regional league selection of the SVW. The striker provided for five goals and was first appointed by Kohfeldt in the squad. In the 80th minute of the game it was time and Ihorst came to his first assignment in the German upper house.

Young Bremen has a lot to offer
In the ten minutes, he could set only a few accents, but even his performance provides new hope. In any case, the Bremen talent factory is extremely ambitious and successful, Ihorst is just one of many positive examples. The many failures are the chance for the young professionals to prove themselves now. Youngsters like Ilia Gruev or Simon Straudi continue to smell their chance, top talent David Philipp is also a long-term project.
    https://www.90min.de/posts/6460373-trotz-niederlage-werder-youngster-machen-hoffnung

now I feel like if only Mbom didn't go on loan. Philipp long term project=Bremen's infamous 2-3 year plan lol. Another option could be Badjie from II.

    some more on Ihorst.
the story of the curious weekend of 19-year-old Luc Ihorst, who has given his Bundesliga debut completely surprising.

The goal was almost reached, the ride in the direction of Havelse so far proceed without any problems, as the team bus of Werder Bremen U23 once again made a short stopover on Friday evening. In a small country inn, just off the B6, there was a quick cup of coffee - players should have their legs short before the regional league duel at TSV Havelse. However, one did not return to the bus after that: striker Luc Ihorst. And so she started, the story of the curious weekend of the 19-year-old, who was to celebrate his Bundesliga debut completely unexpectedly just a day later. But one after anonther.

SV WERDER BREMEN: FLORIAN KOHFELDT CALLS KONRAD FIVE-PIECES FOR LUC IHORST BY BUS
Because Niclas Füllkrug had seriously injured in the final training of the Werder professionals before the Leipzig game, head coach Florian Kohfeldt had to come up with something at short notice - and came up with the idea that he filled his already badly decimated squad but with U23 player Luc Ihorst could. Only just sat on the bus to Havelse. For Kohfeldt that was not a problem, summarily, he called U23 coach Konrad Fünfstück. "He probably thought I was kidding him," said Kohfeldt, who asked Fünfstück to send Ihorst back to Bremen.

A message that caused a mixture of amazement and joy in the bus of the U23 SV Werder Bremen. Luc Ihorst finally stayed in the country inn, where he was later picked up by team manager Dustin Haloschan and driven to the Bundesliga team at the Park Hotel. "Yes, and then he sat there," smiled Florian Kohfeldt, who actually sent the young attacker to the square the next day.

YOUNGSTER LUC IHORST: WHO IS THE NEW IN THE PROFESSIONS OF SV WERDER BREMEN?
In the 80th minute, Luc Ihorst came on as substitute for Josh Sargent, which caused skeptical looks in the Weserstadion. The 1.90-meter man, who comes from Damme and plays for Werder Bremen since 2012, should have been only a few fans a term. Ihorst subsequently recorded seven ball contacts, won two tackles and lost two. He did not come to the conclusion. Nevertheless, he should never forget this strange debut in life.

"It was nice for the boy," said Florian Kohfeldt, but he did not want to raise false expectations with Luc Ihorst: "It will not be the regularity for him now, it was an emergency situation. He should continue to develop in peace and will not be a permanent part of our training group. "With further Bundesliga minutes for Werder Bremen Ihorst can not expect so fast - where: That he can sometimes go very fast, he just just in the country inn briefly experienced before Havelse.

    "He is already a man"
It does not take much imagination to imagine how exciting Ihorst was last weekend. He was not only part of the squad, he was allowed to play in front of over 41,000 spectators and ten minutes, the first time Bundesliga in his life. "That's nice for the boy," says Kohfeldt, who had to choose between Ihorst and David Philipp, also striker of the U23. "Because we needed physicality, we chose Luc. He's a man already. "

    The name fans should remember
At least in the short term, his future lies in the U23. "Luc should continue to develop, so that the Bundesliga for him is not an isolated case," says Kohfeldt. The name should remember Werder fans so better.
    https://www.deichstube.de/news/werd...zu-profis-kuriose-geschichte-zr-13027472.html

what's fascinating about the story is that Ihorst had 0 1st team training when he was called up and when he made his 1BL debut.Imagine had he actually trained/practiced with 1st team....

It's nice to see Kohfeltd seeing him as a 1BL/1st team prospect for the future in that last line. Also interesting to get his full height, TM has him at 1.88m, seems to officially be 1.90m.

yeah Vagnoman's goal today really was him dribbling by 3 players before he shot from distance and scored. I really do think it's important that Fein, Vagnoman and David breakthrough XI this season since if HSV get promoted back to 1BL, you want enough experience and trust to be used in 1BL next season and not play back up or be loaned out.

I said in Summer at some point, I was going to take a break from posting never did. But this time, I really am taking one for like 1-2 weeks starting tomorrow. Looking it up from Monday-Thursday there is barely any relevant matches in that 4 day stretch.

-only posting for this since it's important news.

01-Papela signs pro contract until 2023.

The 1. FSV Mainz 05 has equipped young talent Merveille Papela with a professional contract dated to 2023. The central midfielder has been active in the club since U11 and is currently running for U19's zero. In the course of preparing for the current season, the 18-year-old was allowed to get a taste of the pros.

"Merveille Papela has made an excellent impression in the summer preparation, during the training sessions as well as in the test games with the pros, just like in the U19, where he tackles his current tasks with maximum commitment in everyday life .. It is our philosophy, talents from our NLZ [Young Talent Training Center, editor's note] so that they can gain a foothold in the pros, "says Sport Board member Rouwen Schröder.

"As a native of Mainz, who has been trained here for many years, Merveille Papela is a great example of our training philosophy in the NLZ We want to accompany young players for as many years as possible and prepare them for the highest tasks." Merveille has worked hard to develop this I am very happy for him and look forward to his further steps at Mainz 05, "adds NLZ Director Volker Kersting.

now one wonders what about Eyibil, Schonfelder, Tauer/Gans. I think 02-Nebel will get one next season.

-and in other Mainz news, Martin is out for 2 games and 99-J.Meier is a candidate to replace him at LB.

and 01-Tauer is next for pro contract.

The 1. FSV Mainz 05 has tied up another talent in the long term: Midfielder Niklas Tauer has signed a professional contract with the 05ERN until 2023. The 18-year-old, who currently plays in the Mainz U19 in the A-Juniors-Bundesliga South / Southwest and this summer has already been used in some test matches of the pros, passes through since 2012, the youth teams in the Mainz junior performance center. At the end of August this year, Tauer was also called up by DFB coach Guido Streichsbier for the first time in the U19 national team. Previously, he already had six missions for the German U18 selection.

"Niklas Tauer is another great talent from our junior performance center, who has already demonstrated his footballing potential in a number of pre-season and professional training sessions." Niklas has also convinced in his appearances in the U-national teams and in the U19 Bundesliga Now we want to take the next steps in its development together with patience and patience ", said 05-Sport-Board Rouven Schröder.

Niklas Tauer is another great talent from our junior performance center who has already demonstrated his footballing potential in a number of missions in preparation and training for the pros

"I am delighted that with Niklas Tauer another talent from our junior performance center is given the confidence to be able to take the next steps in the development at Mainz 05. Niklas is a player from the region, already for the past seven years a 05er and thus We will continue on this path of training to train many more players who are suitable for our professionals, "says Volker Kersting, Head of the Young Talent Center.

really curious to know what's the hold up on Eyibil, who has expiring 2020 contract and tons of club wants. Last reports was that he wanted to breakthrough at Mainz, Anyways Mainz have tons of talents in their ranks.

I don't intend to post for awhile but it's becoming annoying how our players get injured every 2 seconds.
-Arp injures his hand in training and out for awhile
-Shabani played 15 min for Wolves in League Cup, making his English debut and injured himself and is now out for awhile, like long term.....

The 20-year-old summer signing from Bayern Munich could be heard screaming in agony as he fell down in an off-the-ball incident, and Nuno confirmed the German has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

An ACL tear is thought to be the most severe of knee injuries, and Shabani – who will have an operation in the next few weeks – could miss the rest of the season.

Bruno Jordao, who was also stretchered off after scoring on his debut against the Royals, has injured his ankle ligaments. He should not be out for as long as Shabani, but such injuries tend to lead to several weeks on the sidelines.

"Shabani, unfortunately, had a serious knee injury, so he's going to be out for a long time," said Nuno.

"Jordao was his ankle, not so serious. Let's see how he does. Not so much time, I hope.

"Shabani is his ACL, so it's a tough injury for the young boy. But he's a strong boy and he'll come back stronger, of course."
    https://www.expressandstar.com/spor...ritan-shabani-acl-injury-before-watford-test/

means no U21 call up for Shabani until next season too. Was doing well enough at Wolves and they seem to like him there too. Such a waste.....

-99 GK Bartels is starting for Wehen in 2BL making his pro debut and he's injured in 3rd min of play and subbed out. This could have been his chance to cement himself as #1 and jump to U21 call up.......Hope it's not too serious......

    :rolleyes:o_O:cautious::cautious::cautious:

some bonus posts for the heck of it.

    03 CF Gedikli this season
-10 goals in 7 games for Bayer U17 this season.
-4 goals in 3 games for Germany U17. What's interesting about him, is that for Germany U16 and Germany U17, he scored in every game he started but fails to do so as a sub......
-best season ever for a Bayer U17 player playing up his age group too and very soon will be Bayer U17 all time scorer.

The name of Emrehan Gedikli is already known to the most attentive observers of international youth football, especially to those of Chelsea, who tried to bring the boy to England before the market was blocked.

According to the Turkish press, especially for the site hurriyet.com.tr, the "Blues" will still try, in the near future, to "snatch" the promising central point from the aspirin club.

Born in Germany to parents of Turkish descent, the boy is also in possession of the Turkish passport and, not surprisingly, the football federation of the crescent country has already bet the 2003 class, trying to convince him to wear the Turkish national team's jacket.

For now, Gedikli has decided to accept the calls for German selections, with which he has already had the chance to play with the U15, U16 (5 appearances and 3 goals) and currently with the Under 17.

Last season, Gedikli scored as many as 25 goals in 26 games, with an average score of a goal every 83 minutes, ranking second in the Under 17 national league scorer, behind the "phenomenon" of Borussia Dortmund Youssoufa Moukoko (class 2004).

Participating this year in the U17-Bundesliga West, Gedikli has so far the enviable score of 10 goals in 7 matches (one goal every 55 minutes).

Also, this season, he has already had the chance to make his UEFA Youth League debut with the U19 team, on the occasion of the match against Lokomotiv Moscow drawn at home 2 to 2 (he only played one minute plus recovery).

With Bayer Emrehan he signed a contract expiring in June 2021.

    Technical and tactical characteristics
Emrehan Gedikli is an extremely dynamic center point, able to play on the whole offensive front, a characteristic that has led him to play also in the role of external offensive on the right.

Equipped with a good physical structure, with its 185 cm, strong in the aerial game, it is in possession of a good basic technique and a marked sense of goal.

He has a vast technical repertoire, often controls the ball in an oriented way, overtaking his markers and displaying good qualities in dribbling.

Very dangerous even from the medium-long distance, Gedikli is in fact equipped with a strong, "clean" and precise shot.

In possession of a powerful acceleration ball and chain, in the open field it is very difficult to contain but, even in the strait knows how to disengage well, revealing a good protection of the ball.

Despite being on the right foot, he does not disdain the conclusion with the left-handed, thus resulting in a less predictable attacker for the backward packs of opponents.

Physically strong, it is no coincidence that he was already made to play in UYL against opponents much more experienced than he.

He has a strong personality, which clearly emerges even when he plays with the German national youth teams.

Tactically its position is that of central tip, a role that interprets in a dynamic way, not giving so many points of reference to the opposing back packs.

now some Bremen updates, Kohfeldt talks about Goller, Ihorst, Gruev, and Philipp.

    on Goller
Benjamin Goller took the chance, against Union Berlin he played for Werder for the first time. The week after against Leipzig, he was even in the starting eleven. "Benny made a great game against Leipzig," says Kohfeldt. "We have seen refreshing dribbles, good runs, he has offered himself well in the room and defensively fulfilled his task." Therefore, Goller was also in Dortmund a candidate for the starting eleven.

    Development with speed
The development of Goller overall does not surprise Kohfeldt. "I was very impressed already in the Zillertal," says the coach about the 20-year-old offensive player, who moved from Schalke to Bremen in the summer, and Kohfeldt had plans to use the Bundesliga anyway, regardless of the staff shortage. "Benny would have also get opportunities if everyone had been fit. " Something surprised Kohfeldt but then to Goller: "The speed of development."

on Ihorst, looks like he changed his tune to getting more chances than previous updates.
For the 19-year-old striker, since summer professional, it is his first year in the men's field. "His clear home is the U23. I hope he continues to develop, "says the coach. Nevertheless, Ihorst remains in his focus: "Luc will train with us selectively and can sometimes be a squad candidate."

"He is a candidate who could join the squad again in the next one or two weeks," said Florian Kohfeldt, but immediately stated: "His clear home is the U23. I hope that in the near future, he will continue to develop as his possibilities promise. "

Height (1.90 meters), speed and Kaltschnuzzigkeit before the gate - all this is at Ihorst, since 2012 at Werder Bremen - "very remarkable". Like many other young players, the attacker still has to get used to the dynamics in the Bundesliga.

on Gruev, provisionally capped by Bulgaria
Probably the best prospects are Ilia Gruev. "I would trust him to play a Bundesliga game immediately and at any time," says Kohfeldt emphatically. With Gruev, whose father Ilia senior is part of the coaching staff since July, Kohfeldt's appreciation is unmistakable: "I am very convinced of him. He has a good mix of passing, strategic thinking, he can calm the game but also make it fast. "

The 19-year-old regularly trains with the pros and will be part of the squad again and again. It is expected to be used only in the U23. He should slowly be introduced to the Bundesliga. It is planned that Gruev gets his chance in the coming season.

    on Philipp
Not to be forgotten is David Philipp, who has not been in public so far. David has gotten very good in the past few weeks in II. He brings very, very good performances there and is on a very good path," enthuses the professional coach, although the midfielder, while firmly integrated into his training group, but has not yet nominated him for a Bundesliga squad., says Kohfeldt about the 19-year-old and sounds very satisfied with the prospects of his talents.

X1: Kabadayi (04, 6 goals and 3 assists in 6 games, looks to be Bayern U17's most important attacker) , Makey, Wirtz
Gencoglu, Kaba, Gatzke, Klein, Krasucki, Kesik, Hadziavdic (04), Burger, Kurth, Kuhn, Grimm, Yeboah, Ismail, Roscher
    Seidel, Heidler, Dittrich

    U19
X2: Moukoko (already at 15, very likely will hit 30+, I mean he scored 15 goals and 3 assists in 7 games and 19 games to go, LOL), Samardzic (productive in every game this season, 5 goals and 2 assists in 5 games. Today he also scored the winner for 10 men Hertha vs league rivals HSV, how long before that pro debut?), Makanda (a goal in 2 different games, as they had a catch up game midweek. Seems to be doing better this season), Kuhinja, Kyerewaa, Yesilay, Asllani (already double digits), Ruckert, Roscher, Salihoglu, Jastremski (7 goals and 1 assist in 7 games, been more productive than J.Herrmann ever was in U19 even last season did more then him when both were in U19)

X1: Rhein (03, 1 goal and 5 assists in 6 games), Tillman, Stiller, Kehl, Lockl, Cakar, Irorere, Neukirch, Yildiz, Beier, Landwehr, Michel, Ezekwem, Scarcelli, Loblein, Fidalgo, Elongo-Yombo, Miftaraj, Pudel, Atmaca, Heisterkamp,
Ksiouar, Schwirten,Ozden, Friebe, Thiaw, Tehe, Ruth, Overfeld, Surmanski, Turay, Vraja, Ajkic, Mungomba, Dehl
Ogbaidze, Borkowski, Fischer, L.Wolf, Safronow, Schmidt, Alidou, Konigsdorffer, Gries, Pohlmann, Stehle, Voelcke

    RL
Malone (4th), Eidtner (1st), Caliskaner (2nd), Kraulich (1st), Ulbricht (4th), P.Kabuya (1st), Ihorst (2nd, should have been 4th since he got robbed twice, lol and so far more of an assister than scorer), Ngankam X2 (6th, mostly as a sub, currently at 6 goals and 7 assists in 9 games), Reese (2nd), Taz (6th), Broschinski (2nd)

I'm curious to see what Hertha does with Ngankam (2020 contract) and Kiprit (2021 contract), seems like both could leave between Winter and Summer. Since very likely both strikers will hit double digits before Winter break at this rate.

3rd Liga (will only update 1 thing)
01 OBM scored once and assisted once today in a 4-1 win over Munster. Takes his tally to 2 goals and 1 assists in 8 games (more like 7 since 1 game he only played 1 min as a sub). I hope he can manage to hit double digits this season to attract higher level interest, including possibly Bayern 1st team chances, who knows. Supposedly a lot of Bayern higher ups are high on him. He even participated last season in preseason with 1st team but Kovac played him out of position. While 01-Dajaku assisted OBM's goal. Both Dajaku and OBM are still U19 eligible.

some bonus for U21 CBs, Chabot in Serie A came on a sub for 10 men Sampdoria, making his Serie A debut during midweek (and got praised by the coach) and today started the match in another loss. Kilian made his pro debut for Paderborn vs Bayern in a 3-2 loss, not sure why give him game time in such a big game. Between These 2+N.Schlotterbeck not too bad for CBs, that's 3 options than Awoudja as mentioned before doesn't deserve any call up. So far Pieper from AB deserves it more. And you still got Beyer (CB/RB) who is likely to get chances at some point during the season for Gladbach who play 3 competitions.

another quick mention, 02-Adeyemi scored the winner and his 5th in Austrian 2nd division. Takes his tally to 5 goals and 4 assists in 8 games. Good enough for #3 in the whole league and pretty much the youngest. Would think this is his last season in 2nd division. Next season he could be playing 1st team. Had he stayed in Germany he would still be playing U19 for next 2 seasons. Let's see how fast tracked he ends up.

00 Besong seems to be injured has played 0 games and has made 0 bench both for 1st team and II this season.

seriously these German players constantly injured is problematic.

looks like Matanovic injured himself and so did Hertha's Friede who looks to have injured himself and subbed out 34 min in for Hertha II.

had a feeling Matanovic was injured when I saw that Pauli U17 were trashed 4-0 by Chemnitz U17, lol. Seems like whenever he plays they do well as a team and when he's injured they collapse. I mean 5 goals in 3 games which is 5/5 goals scored in the 2/2 games he started.....or in other words

    Matanovic out injured=4/4 losses
    Matanovic IN=3/3 wins
