Ahhh, those bogus things do have a name - I always call them pega-corns - and laugh at folks trying to pass them off as real - everyone knows a horse can have wings, or you can have a unicorn - but you can't have a unicorn with wings- it's just silly
Sounds like Metro will be returning to its former operating hours in July. Good news for midweek games. https://www.washingtonpost.com/tran...ng-july/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.8717af88318c
And then there's this - https://www.wmata.com/about/news/Platform-Reconstruction.cfm "Under the first phase of the plan, beginning next year [2019], Metro is planning to demolish and rebuild the station platforms at Braddock Road, King Street and Eisenhower Avenue stations, resulting in a shutdown of rail service south of Reagan National Airport during the summer of 2019."
A construction schedule that prompted three things: 1. my wife's retirement early next year; 2. our decision to begin driving to games last year; and 3. the decision to spend most of the summer in Italy next year. I'll miss the games in July, August and September, but sometimes you just have to make sacrifices.

Is there a new definition of "visual line-of-sight" perhaps that allows registered vehicles for recreational use?
I was once on the front page of the Post, in a picture with my son. We were flying a kite near National. It was a cheap, dime-store kite that probably couldn't get more than 50 feet off the ground, but my son was totally into it. A photographer was there, and he managed to get us all in the shot with a plane passing overhead. Somebody wrote in that we were breaking the law and that picture was encouraging this lawless and dangerous behavior. For three months, I lived in fear of the DC police kicking in my door, tasering me into submission and taking my son away to be raised in a "good" home.
It's late anyway This guy was ahead of his time, trolling newspaper stories. I bet he's sharing his ideas about having fun on twitter these days
Speaking of BigSoccer and the Post, long-ago BS poster MattMathai was quoted in the sports section a few days ago. Of course it wasn't soccer related. After decades of being a Skins fan he's spoken of actively cheering for their opponents.
While I am sure it will never be a problem ... the way the law reads, it might not have been a good gift for a kid in Arlington or most places in the DMV.
I'm impressed when the video ad boards work around the entire field at EagleBank so... Spectacular light show @allianzfield in St Paul, MN. Testing the night lights at nearly completed future home of @MNUFC @MLS pic.twitter.com/QYuhZ1rY5u— Patrick Kessler (@PatKessler) December 19, 2018
During the story I saw on the news, they did show EagleBank Field as one of the venues They'll probably just cut out another walk-up window next to the Box Office - or into the side of the team store. Ah who am I kidding, it'll be a nice comfy too-big place that will be made by closing the two cheapest, most desired food places
