Depends on your definition of "good footballing".... As an arsenal fan, I'm in a fairly rare position whre I've had both ends of the attractiveness spectrum to go along with the success. I probably 'oooohh' and 'aaahhh' more than I did then, actually that's a certainty, but the thrill of the big win is just the same...
Both. Neither. I don't think the two need to be mutually exlusive. (Cake and eat it - for those in the cheap seats ) Every fan wants to see their team win the league, but in any given year that is not going to happen for 95% of the EPL fan base. It is my opinion that with the price point of a modern match day ticket, I pretty much have to treat it as a consumer product. Its not a thought I particularly relish - but thats how it is now. Anyway, having ponied up my £40-70 a go, I expect to be entertained for my money. I don't need to see a win for that to be the case, though its always prefered. Some people feel cheated after a 5-4 defeat. Thats their perogative. I guess the real question then, is what gives you enjoyment in a football match?
well, attractive play gives me enjoyment in a football match. but having won it gives me enjoyment afterwards. of course, i don't buy a ticket for afterwards, so i'm paying for attractive football. at the match, then, the answer is 'attractive football'. but afterwards lasts longer. and that's where i am now, as i write. so the answer is 'give me results'. until the next kickoff. there. that's settled, then.
provided club keeps to its attacking roots -Goes out and has a go first and foremost and im happy-Regardless
Good joke, you play successful, but only thanks to russian millions. The only club in England that was able to play both in recant history was ARSENAL. Remember the invincible Arsenal? AW knows.
