Junior has to think about winning Liga Aguila before they even think about winning international competitions. Three second place finishes in Liga Aguila in the past five years isn't acceptable. Junior spends a lot on their players, but penny pinch to find a good coach.

Off the field, Colombia is usually steps behind Brazil and Argentina regarding futbol structure, organization, implementation, marketing, etc ( Arg + Brazil try to mimic what they do in Europe so it's all within context). Instead teams like America are still considering guys like Pecoso and plenty of past failures that have proven not too work ( I know they just hired and unproven coaching team). Mendoza can't be so mediocre in thinking and application. I watched that match vs Boca and there was zero ambition from Junior. For him to make statements being proud of a loss deserves his post being given to someone who wants more from his team.

It's very common in sport teams when the owners want to coach but they can't so they hired l puppets to coach through them. I blame the coaches. If you don't have the balls to stand on your own, you will always be mediocre. It's Alexis's fault who returned to Char.
