I went to the A's game yesterday and on the way home we listened to the A's cast. They say the fans really believe the A's will win the world series this year and why not? They have to believe - why would they believe anything else. I thought that's a nice attitude.
I haven't really followed this expansion side at all this season; are they all healthy (not that this has helped us much lately)? How's their home record? Are they still pulling in 60-70k fans per game? I see they're still hovering around the top of the east and of course they're the reigning champs...should be interesting. A win would be huge for our playoff hopes, a loss and it's same old same old Quakes, losing streak intact, etc., seems like a high stakes game, possibly the highest of the season, we desperately need a road win. Go Quakes!
Fingers and toes crossed. We are good enough to beat anyone, but sometimes we need for the stars to align for us. I like that Almeyda goes for it. He doesn't play for the tie, which makes our games exciting, and usually enjoyable. But we sometimes take more risks than we should. Go Quakes!! Beat the Atlanta Posers!! - Mark
Even when Almeyda pulls defenders for forwards I don’t see the team suffering late collapses. Has there even been a goal scored when the Quakes were chasing the game late? Maybe LAFC?
I'm busy on Saturday, so I'll probably miss most of this game. Hopefully (if we win) they'll have it available to watch on Sunday as a rerun...

This is a really good point, we've lost a remarkable string of 1 goal matches. (Other than LAFC) The time I remember us getting burned for pressing was ironically when we led 1-0 against the Crew.
Correct. The nationally broadcast games have never been on either ESPN+ or MLS Direct Kick. On the upside, that also means that there is no "out-of-market" for those games unless one means "outside the U.S. and perhaps Canada". And that's not just an MLS thing either. For example, the nationally broadcast NBA games on ABC, ESPN and TNT aren't included on NBA League Pass because it's not necessary for them to be - they're already being broadcast nationally without any blackout restrictions. Nothing would please me more on my birthday (much older than old man Goodsie) than a massive win in ATL today and yet I fear it’s about to get ugly.
