ATL fan here - I come in peace! If any of y'all coming on down, looks to be rainy but we'll party and tailgate nonetheless. All are welcome!
Thanks, doubt we'll see any of you up here due to the 2 Wednesday games (understandably so). Is Martinez still injured? But also, ******** the Hawks.
I lived in ATL back in ancient (Anno Dominique) times, so I'll always have a soft spot for Atlanta's Air Force.
Some hearty souls may travel. Not me, though - I have a phobia of Congress I don't believe we'll see him. He hasn't trained this week. They appear to be taking the wise and cautious course, and easing him along. We'll have to make due. I believe that's still a federal crime, but perhaps weakening the EPA will allow you your pecadillos . . .unless you mean the basketball team.
I thought Le Toux was injured. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ortiz start up top with hopefully Mullins being fit enough to be on the bench. If Mullins isn't cleared, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kamara recalled from Richmond. As for numbers to round out the bench, don't forget Büscher. That's your 6th body right there. The 7th body could be someone like Durkin.
Thanks, always seem to forget Beuscher. Le Toux's elbow is hurt bought I thought i read in Goffs article that he could play through it, could be mistaken
Did not know that. I guess Kamara's going to get called into the 18 either way. Also did not know that. I hope he's good to go, since I prefer him over Ortiz.
Will miss seeing this game live, I'll be at the race in RVA, but can't wait to watch it afterward. Someone else will have to cover my normal screaming at the TV for better passing for me. My thanks in advance I would probably look forward to this ATL franchise doing reasonably well if they hadn't blatantly stolen our name and colors. And, them being put in our division of course didn't help In my weekly search for opposing team-local baby animals, I came up with this little beast (left) from the ATL Zoo humorously named Tom Brady - might have worked for last week's game as well. DCU: 2 ATL: 2
That, suh, is an insult to many - and a testament to the need to spend more to repair our crumbling infrastructure! Good job!
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ot-d-c-uniteds-rob-vincent-on-comeback-trail/ Vincent - Blood Clot NDL/Nyarko - Out Birnbaum - Out and Out v. Montreal Kemp/Acosta/Mullins - 100% No mention of Le Toux Kamara - still somehow in Richmond
Per Goff a moment ago: Le Toux is fine. He'll wear a sleeve over the elbow. Speaking for myself, I want him to start over Ortiz. He adds more to the attack because he connects with his teammates. That's why he is one of only two MLS players with at least 50 goals and 50 assists. The other is Landon Donovan.
I noticed the absence and asked Goff about Le Toux's status. He checked and added him to the list of those available against Atlanta. His original article didn't mention him at all.
Be happy that this match isn't for Pink Slips with the winner taking the Name and the colors leaving the short side to whine and play Benny Ball for eternity
Do you mean all time? I'm assuming you mean all time since Donovan is included ... There are 3 DC United alums in the 50/50 club. Jamie Moreno 133 goals/102 assists. Dwayne De Rosario 104 goals/77 assists. And Ronald Cerritos 71 goals/57 assists. In addition to Donovan, Le Toux and those 3 other DC alums, these are the other players in the 50/50 club : Steve Ralston, Brad Davis, Preki, Cobi Jones, Chris Henderson, Mark Chung, Jason Kreis, Jeff Cunningham, Ante Razov, Clint Mathis and Brian McBride. And finally Javier Morales who is the only active player in the club other than Le Toux. He just joined the club this month with his 50th goal to go along with 81 assists.
Yeah, it didn't sound right but I read it somewhere. The real story is that Le Toux is now one of only two active players in the 50-50 club. He's not just some washed up stiff. I thought he looked very active against NE.
