Tough 9 days for YB. Out of the Europa League, out of the Swiss Cup, and now essentially out of the running for a CL spot. Ouch. Grasshoppers [3 - 2] Young Boys Bern 19' [1 - 0] V. As things are looking bleak for LS and Servette I think the optimum for the ASL were if Lugano were to go up and Bellinzona down (with the with a play-off win for the ASL-team). I really hope for a Sankt Gallen resurgence..
March 19 17:45 Neuchatel Xamax ? - ? Zurich 17:45 St. Gallen ? - ? Bellinzona March 20 16:00 Grasshoppers ? - ? Basel 16:00 Sion ? - ? Thun 16:00 Young Boys Bern ? - ? Lucerne Wow, how a few years can change things. GCZ-FCB used to be a huge match. If Basel wins, and Xamax win, that would push GCZ into the relegation zone. YB-Luzern should be a good one, third place on the line and both teams have hit bumps in the road.

April 16 FT Sion 0 - 2 Zurich FT Young Boys Bern 4 - 0 Bellinzona Interesting development with Xamax. The question will be will it be in the ASL or the DCL.
Bulat Tschagajew took over last Tuesday and the team is now getting primes again for points won and it worked this past weekend. Terek Grozny was also in 2nd division when the played FC Basel in 2004. Dunno whether Tschagajew already had something to do with them at the time. Anyway he is also their VP and main investor now and kept them in 1st division in Russia. He is rumoured that he wants to sign Christian Gross and Valentin Stocker

and FCZ has really a young team, they continued this way after Favre left, a bit like Borussia Dortmund in Germany... kind of a 23y average GCZ also have a young team, but still have the old rich image and therefore maybe kind of less identification?? don't know, anyway either they don't manage to keep their talents long enough or there is something else wrong. maybe if there would be more emotion at GCZ, things would be different. The youth academy seems good, somehow they need to market themselves better... whatever. Maybe if GCZ would be relegated, new discussions about a 12 or 14 teams league would start.
Desperate times for GC, I was at the game at St Jakob a week even at 2-0 up they looked very nervous, then a disasterous result v. FCSG will make them even worse! I fear the worst for the most famous club in CH.
I think that GCZ is going down. They might pull off a comeback, but I am not too sure if they have the players for it. Stockler is out for the rest of the season for Basel. 1. Basel 30 +26 62 2. Basel's victory over YB was a bit lucky as YB was stronger in first half, but Basel was the better team in the second half. GC won at Thun I think Bellinzona is going down. Xamax hasn't lost since 3 matches and is playing well recently. St.Gallen won defensive stability and now is getting better in attack. And at GCZ the talks between Sforza and the players seemed to have helped... but Bellinzona also has their chances and Lustrinelli and co will do their best
