TWO asian teams will be representing this international tourney to be held in madrid and andalucia which will also feature big clubs like real madrid and jevuntus. The tournament will start on july 24th. here are the groups Group A: Sevilla, Juventus, Seongnam Ilhawa Group B: Real Madrid, L.D.U. Quito, Al-Ittihad Group C: Malaga, Aston Villa, Atlante Group D: Lyon, Besiktas, Porto
Good luck to both teams. I just can't imagine how a domestic tournament can grow this fast. I remember its first edition played on our home soil in 2003 and I attended a group stage match between Los Angeles Galaxy and PSV Eindhoven at Suwon's Big bird stadium. It was a fully packed, fantastic atmosphere and those American supporters who sat in front of me kept sining US chants and the crowds joined them. It was quite a fun. Btw, the tourney's being organized by Seongnam. They spend roughly about $20 million for the tourney excluding sponsorships - If only they were more interested in investing money in their own team. (Well, not that they don't invest any, but still $20 million spent for a few friendlies with the Top European teams are a little too much, IMO)

Sevilla 0-0 Seongnam Good result here too considering that Seongnam had a K-league game on the 24th and went there just one day before the game against Sevilla.
