so i got the totti armband today. it's got a personalized number on the inside (only 3,000 were made) but other than that, it's very poor quality. it looks like they gave a kid in preschool safety scissors and asked them to cut it out of a sheet. also, about ¼ of the roma logo is covered up by the velcro piece. it looks just like the pictures, only they did a piss poor job with the details. pretty weak on roma's part.
I would love that kit without the gold watches and crap. Imagine that black with the Golden yellow piping.
http://www.footyheadlines.com/2017/03/as-roma-17-18-third-kit.html Hopefully they got this wrong, and it's just a pre-match top. Desert camo really isn't our speed, but the warm ups can have some more outlandish designs. Even the away kit last year with the city map was still subtle.
A little bit off-topic, but I need some help with shoe sizes from Nike Store. I'd like to buy those: http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/converse-chuck-ii-high-top-unisex-shoe/pid-10977942/pgid-11593151 However, I have no idea which size I need. My feet is like 28.5cm which usually equals about 44 EU size, or 43-45, depending on where you shop. Some size charts give my UK size at 10, others at 10.5 It's hard enough calculating with centimeters, and now I have to deal with inches instead... Can someone give me a rough idea about what US Men number would 28.5 centimeters mean in Nike Store? I promise a nice cold beer in return.
maybe i'm alone, but i'm not a fan of the new jerseys... the design pattern (the way it accentuates the pecs) makes it look like a freaking training bra. while i'm at it, is anyone else perturbed that roma is breaking trend and following milan's lead by playing the last game of this year in next year's kit? as a result, totti's last game will be in a jersey designed for a roster he won't be on... sounds like a ridiculous marketing decision to sell another round of totti jerseys. (training bras)
Can you get Roma nike stuff without meeting some guy in a back alley in Montreal? Then it's better than Kappa. It's the nike template for next season. Maybe the training bra accents won't be on the replica, since it's an aero swift thing. Though I gather you go authentic or nada. The next season jersey in the last game of this season is pretty common nowadays. Bayern, Dortmund, PSG have all done it the last couple of seasons. It's absolutely an excuse to sell more crap, which is why I'm surprised the footballing world hasn't gotten deep in the retro kit game.
i'm well aware of the fact that it's both nike's template for next season (the people at nike who made and approved the training bra template should have all future decision-making powers revoked) and that other team's have been wearing the next season's jersey in their last game of the season... but roma's never done it, and the fact that this is nike's template for next year and that "other team's do it too" does very little to make me feel better about the training bra jerseys being our jersey from now until the last game of next year's season...
Tbh, the best jerseys we've had were the ones we had when we were fighting with kappa and did our own thing in 2013/14 (our white away jersey with the map/outline of the city is the lone exception from Nike). Just give me a classy red and yellow jersey with a nice collar. I don't want a bunch of bs lines and geometric crap on our red jersey. Edit: Nike's first home jersey for us was pretty close to perfect as well. So I'll give them that as well, kinda. I wonder if they just didn't spend a lot of time on us that first year and as such we lucked into that beautiful shirt.
The full kit looks really nice: Red shirt, Red shorts and black socks. The color of the red is going to look great on the players and there's black strips under the arms which I really like.
damnit, you guys, i think i need a serious intervention. i HATE the new jersey/training bra, but i just spent $200 to buy one...
