We lack the fundamentals of game control

As soon as we needed a goal we gave up a feast of chances because fundamentally we are awful. The players have no idea what the shape is supposed to be.

There's nothing at all that says that you have to wait for the manager to lose a game before you sack him.

In reality the losses are necessary to create the pressure on the front office

Emery should have been sacked before the international break. It really boggles the mind.

Especially with the run of games we have until City mid-December. Even a halfway competent manager should win every single one of them, and that would completely turn around the atmosphere.

Instead, we have Emery stroking his chin on the sideline trying to figure out how to beat a team that lost 9-0 to Leicester.

There is nothing left to discuss

We have 3/15 points in our last 5 games - we won't make the top 10 at this rate

538 has the following chances for us to finish in these places:

    1st+2nd: 1%
    3rd: 1%
    4th: 4%
    5th: 10%
    6th: 12%
    7th: 12%
    8th: 11%
    9th: 10%
    10th: 8%
    11th: 7%
    12th: 6%
    13th: 5%
    14th: 4%
    15th: 3%
    16th: 2%
    17th: 2%
    18th: 1%
    19th+20th: 1%

That's a 31% chance to finish in the bottom half, 8 months after we had like an 80% chance to qualify for the Champions League.

The decline that we've experienced since April is profound and undeniable.

I think the players are doing what Emery wants, it's just that what he wants is so bad it makes them look confused. That's why every game looks the same.

Not really. Like you said, we've gotten 3/15 points in the League. That's enough to sack Emery, more than enough really.

Sokratis is shit what an awful cb

I really believe removing him and putting holding g in makes a big difference

the team is set up with poor instructions obviously, the midfield is non existent. How we are playing 5 atb vs 19th place Southampton nobody knows. It’s truly terrible this season, worse than any wenger season

auba is not lw, play one forward and wide players cutting inside. Ozil is and has been elite at chance creation

we need as much pace as possible

I have no hope for this side, no run and no improvement

we are going to finish 10th and lose all our best players

8 points away from top 4, 8 points above the relegation zone.

    Rip the bandage off.

ON a different topic, how the hell was the handball pen not given to Arse?

the defender had his hands right up and deflected the ball away from his face

Extreme hypothetical here. If a team were to win the europa league AND be relegated, would they still get a cl spot since they wouldn't be in the prem?

I've decided to stop watching Arsenal again until things change

This is way worse than anything in the Wenger era when I stopped watching for a few years because it was so boring

I actually think that is not handling by rule as it is currently written.

But VAR has been consistently ruling that as a penalty. Until today.

The biggest issue is the rule is trash and needs clarification.

I thought hands had to be in a natural position?

Defender had his hands up and clearly and intentionally blocked the ball

I'm losing enthusiasm for this myself, I don't know if I'll watch or not. I do know that I don't care one iota about formations, or Emery-era negative player evaluations, or transfers, or teamsheet selections, until the manager is gone. We simply have to sack Emery, if for no other reason than to be able to properly evaluate the squad.

Also, assuming that Emery actually is fired, I don't want Freddie as the replacement. Obviously I'd rather have Freddie than Emery, and if we need him as caretaker for a game or two, so be it. But caretaker or otherwise, we need a clean break before the end of this season.

It might not be Freddie's fault, but the reality is he's too closely associated with our current run of failure, and has little or no management experience out side of that. Like I said before, we need a clean break.

If push comes to shove, Edu can kick himself downstairs and be caretaker manager himself.

Shit time to be an Arsenal fan. VAR is against us. The refs are against us. The board is against us...

Anyway, was surprised with a draw, was sure we would get done 3-1.

Season cooked. 20 points off 1st and not even November. Pool probably going undefeated but definitely winning the league and we are stuck with Emereallynoideawhatheisdoing.
