While there's already a VAR, its still take the ref decision whether to use the VAR or not, which mean at the end of the day, its still depend on the ref not VAR.
Juventus still aint winning shit if they dont strengthen their midfield. They just couldnt compete at CL since Pogba left. Also, CR isnt Tevez type of player who can help to press and win the ball when needed. They almost secured treble when they have the likes of Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal and Tevez but they decided to blew their entire $$ just for CR. Allegri has been progressing backward completely since 2016 final.
Rojo’s red card against Chile in the 2016 final remains the biggest mistake he’s made for Argentina. Chile had already gone down to 10 men at that point, and Argentina had a man advantage for the rest of the game. That was until only 15 minutes later, Rojo gets himself sent off and our man advantage is gone. Such an idiotic red card for such a pointless tackle, Chile weren’t even in a dangerous position.
Lanzini and Lamela should definitely be on the squad. We never got to see Ayala and Samuel together at a tournament, and likely we will not see Pezzella and Kanneman together either.
The "old-football" managers have all been booted one by one off the top and middle clubs these past six years, it's the "Guardiolistas" (by way of Bielsa) who the management and fans ask for. Zidane at Real Madrid may be the last holdover at an elite club. Really wish Pochettino would stay at Tottenham, especially if they brought in a couple more of Argentine players.
Coco...? Why? He hasn’t done much for months. I’d rather the take the likes of De Paul and Tucu to the tournament who both had much better campaigns. They have more versatility and can play in multiple positions.
I think if Poch wins Champions he stays. Otherwise he might feel like he can't win anything in Tottenham.
Kanneman has suffered a fracture of his verterbrae in his spine and will be out for 6 weeks. He is out of the Copa America, confirmed. Sad for us, because he was only one of the few defenders who inspired any confidence in the backline for me.
I think Liverpool will win it. At least on paper they're certainly favorite since they have been more consistent in the league. However, the final is only one match so its still going to be a tight game. Liverpool won in 2005 when they've been terrible in the league and they lost their last two CL finals in 2007 & 2018. Spurs obviously will play under smaller preasure , at least from the players point of view. Semifinal was already a massive success for them , since they're lucky to even survived the group stage.
OT Bundesliga is a fun league to watch overall but my god Bayern Munich winning 7 times in a row is dreadfully boring.
Lamela instead of Meza and Lanzini for Fernandez. Great way to wrap up a fantastic season, DePaul has to play in the CA.
I don’t believe any of those four will make it. Lanzini will have an outside shot. De Paul has 9 goals and 8 assists for a terrible Udi side. The three assists all came from set pieces. And it is great that we have a right footed player that can provide that. He will surely move to one of the bigger Italian side’s. He will be at the CA. He has already been a regular for Scaloni’s teams.
Sorry @Albiceleste2010 , not a great day for Watford. Pereyra missed a golden chance on a breakaway that would've made things a lot more interesting.
Whipping in balls like JRR. Rodrigo De Paul está en su mejor nivel, el ex Racing tiene un guante en el pie.https://t.co/vehLTADW6P— La Comu de Racing 🎓 (@Comu_Racing) May 18, 2019 I saw Brasil’s team for the Copa and it’s interesting. They are still taking players Dani Alves, Thiago Alves, Fernandinho. And they’ve left out the likes of of Fabinho, Lucas Moura and even the youngster Vinicius(Maybe they’re gonna take him to the Sub 20s... Oh wait they didn’t qualify for that ). But Tite surely loses the job if he doesn’t win the tournament.
Just go watch Serie A... Oh wait... Nevermind then, go watch Ligue 1.... Oh wait... This is why I love Argentine football.. it's so unpredictable and it's up for grabs for anyone. Sure, River and Boca tend to have the upperhand, but then you have teams like Racing, Independiente, Newell's, San Lorenzo, Velez, Estudiantes, etc. who pull off fantastic campaigns every now and then. Even the likes of Banfield, Argentinos Jrs, Lanus, and even Arsenal have managed to lift the trophy in recent times. How about the Atletico Tucuman's, Tigre's, Godoy Cruz's, etc. who regularly pull off upsets? The only European league that somewhat has that kind of competitiveness is the Premier League, with Man City, Liverpool, and Tottenham battling it out, while Chelsea, Man U, and Arsenal could all also fight at the top when they have their shit together. But still, with all it's flaws, to me there's nothing like the Argentine Primera Division
Lo Celso absolutely destroyed Real Madrid’s midfield today. I know that Real are not very good this season, but holy crap, Lo Celso was incredible. Both of Betis’ goals came after a clever pass from him.
Yup, Lo Celso played lights out. He can become one of the greatest midfielders in the world. So why didn’t he play for us in WC 2018?
Cause it was treated as last hurrah for most of the 2014 squad. Including subs the frst game had 8 players from the 2014 squad.
Messi scored twice in a space of 1 minute and Barca still managed to blew their lead before HT. He reached 50 goals in all competition with that 2 goals.
Barca's defense is absolute trash. Kind of like ours. Can't believe they didn't concede in that first leg against Liverpool.
Yea, Messi scored twice over the legs and had 2 assists against France but his team conceiding 4 goals means its still his fault for some people Barca does look like Argentina at the moment, they struggled against Eibar who played high preasuring game and every Barca players always pass it to Messi when they're trying to attack even when Messi was already closed by multiple players. Today he scored twice and Barca still didnt win the game.
Speaking of the Eibar-Barcelona game - Escalante is having another good game, he is arguably one of the best defensive midfielders of Argentina - Pablo de Blasis has been converted into a good right back, a position the NT desperately needs quality in
