It's funny the US is currently spending about twice as much (in therms of % of GDP) on Healthcare than any other western country. Even those socialist Northern European countries. Seems to me your healthcare system is more expensive than anybody elses already and extremley inefficient. Why's that?
How do you measure quality? On "average" or for the top ~10%. Because I'm sure you're gonna loose that "average quality" bit to quite a few other countries.
I'd say it is comfort. Are you comfortable that your surgery won't be botched? I am sure that American outcomes beat Europe any day. But you are comparing apples to oranges because the books are cooked. So how do you measure it?
So basically you believing in it it makes it true? Quite the approach. But I think we are done here. Not interested in a non factual debate.
Que? When I go into major surgery I want a positive outcome And if my insurance doesn't cover the costs I get upset, but go on with life. You are not really a boy scout, are you?
Unless you're a woman giving birth, in which case you're far more likely to die than any other developed country. And if you're a minority woman...oh boy. Just to pull one example out
I just paid $150 to have a doctor come to my hotel room, examine my wife for 30 minutes, and write up her case. Then another $150 for half a dozen X-Rays, which the doctor evaluated. The doctor was from a private hospital, which was where the X-Rays were taken. You think that happened in the U.S.?
I don't know why you keep arguing with the fish. He's devoid of logic, memory and the ability to distinguish fact from talking points. He pretends to be IC when in reality he's just 5 degrees from RWNJ and even when he has a grasp of the issue, he chooses to argue on bad faith to troll all of you libruls... Don't fall into conversations that lead nowhere and that teach nothing to anyone in it, not to mention that it triggers notifications on a thread that could be used for valuable information.
I am sure access is a right, is expensive but the government won't deny you the right to purchase health insurance.
No, there is nothing in the Constitution or statutes that guarantees the "right" to health coverage (insurance or health care). The ACA was designed to provide access to more people, but it was not "universal," as there were many exceptions/exemptions from the coverage.
I am pretty sure that is the government told you that you are not allowed to purchase health insurance, you could sue them and win, maybe under persuit of happiness.
That might be true if you're wealthy. If you're working class or rural, I very strongly suspect that we're not in the top half of the world, let alone the global north.
What's with your new avatar? Did you lose a bet? Are you trying to incentive the Invisible Hand to stop killing gay people for fun?
What is with this "bet" thing? I'd say that says some interesting things about the interrogator. Most importantly, however, is this question: why the ******** do you care?
You just seem like about the last person on earth to have an avatar of inclusiveness. {Mod edit: personal attacks were just re-stated as not being tolerated.}
I was wondering why you chose that one, too. Just seems like an odd choice, not along the lines of what it seems like you would choose. But I'm asking rather than making an assumption.
