I've always thought that he'll make a big step into the national team but somehow he didn't seem to fulfill his potential or maybe he was overrated. He is still young and may develop into a better player, but right now even Cali's fans don't like him. Wish him all the best in Argentina.

I don't think he has the quality to play #10 and he does not have the speed to play at the Cuadrado position.

So he may not fit into Pekerman's system all that well. Maybe the next coach could find a way to use his skills though.

The guy hasn't been with the club for two weeks and he's starting against Boca tonight. Playing decently so far.

Barrios has been Barrios-like, Villa is kind of absent

yeah I was too lazy to post but he was in the starting 11. I should mention that Huracan's manager is Gustavo Alfaro who some people may recognize was a commentator for Caracol for a long time.

he probably knows him really well

He should have went to Nacional played badly and got called up like their whole defense :)

Good to see we have options off the bench if we decide to play both Quintero and James at the same time

Seems like this move was so good for him. One of Huracan's best players, shows good form. Would be surprised if he'll get a call on November.

Great game Huracán was down by 2 goals and a player. Roa scored the second goal.

In this moment roa should be ahead of Cardona, Benedetti, Jarlan in the picking order. Naturally below james and quintero.

I am having difficulty trying to place Roa in any order just because he has different attributes than the other three.
In fact didn't he play together with Benedetti on the field at the same time?

Yes but he is AMF....he can play with others, but for called ups you cant called all......actually.

He can play very well by the left.

Yes, but Benedetti usually got the nod over Roa, as both together on the field often created imbalance.

When they did play together, and these days for Hurucan, Roa is on the left. And therein lies his problem when it comes to the NT. As we've seen with Cardona, Colombia requires a lot of speed on the wing. If the idea is to play with both James and Quintero (that's what I consider to be the ideal) you need someone much more physical on the other wing, ideally. I loved the way we looked with Quintero in the middle, James on the left, and Cuadrado on the right, even though Cuadrado is injured and I'd like to experiment with other players in his position...

I like Roa, but I have my doubts as to his ability to thrive on the biggest stages. He's pretty damn good at every aspect of play, even defensively, but he's not great in anything that sets him above the others, imo.

Jarlan has not looked good in any of his 3 outing for Rosario so far, that's for sure. Cardona is not a starter. Benedetti is beginning to stagnate for Cali.

You're right that Roa is definitely in better form. However, even in that form, I take Cardona above each of them for a roster spot. The guy can change a game in an instant, and he has for Colombia several times. Roa I see doing best for Colombia if he can convert to play more in central midfield, next to Barrios. But that's a big experiment.

That is pretty much the way I see it too.
Cardona can do something magical while Roa -although is solid in many things- isn't really great at anything in particular.

But once again it will all come down to what the manager thinks and which player can fit in his system best. March cannot come soon enough.

Not if roa eventually he should play in the second line......Cardona should find tranquility....we know that he can be a game changer....but in this moment he isnt for the NT, considering thta quintero and him cant offer more than talent.

ps: im talking about roa, because since his arrival he have been real good for months....not because the goal
