I'm actually not sure where to post this, as it could be in a number of forums but let me start here. Apparently this an idea generated by a leading Argentine businessman who is running for president of the Argentine FA. I've always been a proponent of more integration between CONMEBOL and CONCACAF. I also think that the Americas need some semblance of a counterweight to the dominance of UEFA, otherwise football on this side of the world will consist of glorified amateur leagues. With the right execution, a tournament like this could be incredibly lucrative, extremely exciting and improve the level of competitiveness of clubs across the board.
