Not seeing how it's that bad of a look either. This organization has had numerous leaks in the past like when everyone new they were picking dj hayden. And going 4 -12 or whatever there record is a bad look, moving to vegas is a bad look, and people think gruden is the worse look ever and than we can mention the trades. Not seeing how this even registering on the pr radio. And actually it does matter if it's the right move or not . This draft is pivotal for the future of this franchise for numerous reasons. The draft picks and us knowing if chucky will actually listen to mayock .No1 gives the hoody shit for an unpopular decison or a "bad look" cause he's right 9/10.
I think it's precisely because this organization has struggled in the past that this is registering. No one gives shit to Belichick because he's earned that benefit of the doubt. The current Raiders regime have succeeded in acquiring assets, but they have yet to show that they can deliver a winning product. It's a good thing that I never said it doesn't matter. I said "regardless, it's a bad look". Of course it matters. But regardless of whether it's a good move or not, which, again, I never said didn't matter, Gruden/Maycock not trusting their scouts is never a good thing. Whether they're right to not trust their scouts or wrong to, it's not a good situation to have distrust within the organization.
It’s not a big deal but probably the right move. I’m just not surprised by it because you have basically two alphas that want to call the shots and they trust no one. The media blows it up because it’s the Raiders and Jon. I’m just ready to see if Jon and Mayock can co-exist in their first big test together and see who ends up calling the shots at the end of the day.
I knew you weren't overreacting , i was surprised how big a story it was. And i think we'll know if mayock has authority in the draft room by the end of the 4th. If he is snagging this years eric kendricks or stefon diggs that will be a good hint. I remember him being really high on those guys the same year you were.
Now that the Wonderlic leaked, Breer comes out with a story that negatively impacts Kyler. So here we are with our annual media and/or leaking team creating things to plummet the stock of a player after spending all draft season building it up. Teams psych themselves out of picks and the media baits them.
Wasn't he just hyping up how much better the usl was than brazil ???? https://globoesporte.globo.com/fute...piIlJSqp_oGoSvsxsFtGA1rvMv3d98SfyBL1xWx7BfEg4
Yeah, he and Kleber (with another player that I am forgetting) was talking about enjoying playing for Austin in the USL. Conca has been retired for a while now. I guess he needed to see that by playing in the USL and not performing.
Make no mistake of it, the Washington Redskins are in the market for a QB. Sources have indicated Dwayne Haskins is their target despite multiple holes at several positions on this roster. I’m also told the Redskins Draft board is set.— Dianna Russini (@DMRussini) April 24, 2019 As long as we do not trade the house for him, I am on board. Been my QB #1 this draft since the halfway point of the college season.
Depends what you are looking for in compensation. Maybe Buffalo would be a good spot for us too. We need to get in front of Cincy and Miami. I am not as concerned with Denver.
I think they like Lock more than the other QBs. And Elway has a track record of making the wrong choice.
Just talked to a Redskins source who told me Dan Snyder has "taken over the first round of the draft."The last time that happened the Redskins traded two future No. 1's and a No. 2 to move up for Robert Griffin.— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) April 24, 2019 The @AroundTheNFL guys asked me whether Snyder, Bruce Allen, Doug Williams and Jay Gruden had influence on the #Redskins’ draft. Said absolutely, yep, sorta and not much — in that order. https://t.co/6nezH1tt9m— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) April 24, 2019 For what it's worth and in the interest of the Redskins' side of this... On my previous tweet: I just talked to Redskins spokesman Tony Wyllie. He says any person saying Dan Snyder has taken over the team's first round decision making is "categorically false."— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) April 24, 2019 It's Grant, so take it with a grain of salt. But if true, dysfunction is setting back in again.
For the record, as much as I like Haskins, I would not trade up to the Jets spot to take him due to the draft capital you would have to trade away to get there. Other than the Raiders, I wouldn't be concerned with Haskins going top 5.
Is dave gentleman bluffing about his lack of interest in Haskins?? And you are right that 3rd pick is going to take way to much draft capital . Snyder being more involved makes me think snyder is trading up for Haskins you buying this or no??
Yeah, the Giants are tough to read right now. It’s Grant, but the again, if Snyder is involved, all bets are off. My gut still says it’s BS though.
This goes with what I have heard. I was told Jay Gruden and football people are bigger on Daniel Jones than the higher-ups, who are more pro-Haskins. https://t.co/f4lYsS8dyi— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) April 25, 2019 It's sad that I can see that although I would agree with Bruce and Dan, which is scary. Then again, this is Grant....and Russini doesn't have the same sources as she used to in the organization.
As long as Synder is the owner, dysfunction is always going to creep its ugly head even if it does go away for a short while. It's already been quite clear that Jay hasn't called any of the shots and his input is down on the totem pole since McCloughan left.
