I agree but he should probably be careful about that though.

Well this is so unnecessary. I find it hilarious when people interpret Freddy's "Going to make a sandwich" tweets as something soccer related, but I have to say this is just just so immature, regardless of the reffs.

I travel to Turkey for work a fair bit and always watch some footy when there. I would say what you are seeing is typical of Turkish football - quite good, quick play, fairly clean. Not quite at the level of the EPL or Bundesliga, but much above MLS as far as speed and clean touches. I have watched club ball in Poland, and I'd say Turkey is above Poland also.

As has been stated, I would agree with those that have watched Turkish ball and said it is under-rated - I am always impressed with the play.

That's the problem with social media...no cool down period. Sometimes, instant access to the world isn't necessarily a good thing....especially if you're 21. Or 31 and watching your beloved Lions play Ohio State but that's different discussion.

Didn't a Premiership player get fined for criticizing the refs through twitter? Time to pay the man, Jozy.

Samll sample size...but he shows good acceration, vision and you can see were his size and strength kept the defenders at bay.

I wish he would just keep that to himself, put his head down, and play the game. We were all thinking the same thing. No reason for a player to advertise it.

I don't really care one way or the other. But one thing's for sure, had he been in the NBA, NFL, etc. his wallet would be a bit lighter after that comment.

same and good point. I do think it is ridiculous that you would get fined for commenting on bad officiating though, kind of orwellian from the leagues to do that.

Where's your respect for authority? Go report yourself before someone else does.

[Mods, I believe a forum ban may be in order for this one.]

I didn't read through the thread, nor did I watch the game.(So bear with me)

I saw the highlight of his spin and the run that set up the goal.

So, for those who watched.. did jozy get any shots off? and if, how were they?

    Thank ya
