"The French Riviera, it's beautiful and ... how could this happen? People are just celebrating Bastille Day; it's supposed to be with fireworks and fun. It's really heartbreaking and tragic. It is tough to watch, not just in France but even back here in the States. I'm a father now and with my kid, [you] just have to think about going into crowded areas, even to a movie theater, just basic things that you enjoy in life, just because of all the stuff that's been going on." and about his future "I'd still obviously prefer to stay in Europe," Bedoya said. "Since my son was born, I've always thought about coming back to the States, and that's still in the back of my mind and there's still ongoing discussions about that," he added. "[But] I still feel like I have a lot left to do, and I'm still ambitious about playing at the highest level. No disrespect to MLS at all; it's a continuously growing league. But MLS is still in the back of my mind as a place I'd like to come back." http://www.espnfc.com/united-states...gue-1-nantes-despite-recent-attacks-in-france
i concur. again it's incredible how far he's gone considering just 6 years ago he was in Sweden and barely missed out on a spot on the WC squad that year.

Just watched that performance by Seattle vs KC.💩🗑Still remember them telling me my value & they signed Valdez for double that!😱🙈🙉— Alejandro Bedoya (@AleBedoya17) July 24, 2016
So, doing the math. Nelson Haedo Valdez is on $1.5M/Y with Seattle (a waste of money if there ever was one). Half of that would come out to ... I figure, Bedoya's current salary. In dollars.
For Bedoya it's best to stay in Europe. His value to MLS will only increase if he stays in the USMNT and Europe is better for that. At some point after the WC his value in Europe will go down yet his celebrity in the US will be high. That's when he goes.
he's quite open with his dislike of MLS. I can't imagine that's good for future negotiations. He's a good player but isn't a big name and probably not worth more than 600 K a year. Then again if the likes of Kljestan or Diskerud can earn 750-800 K, I guess he could make a solid case for that. Though he's def nowhere near worth 1.5 a year and he has to know that, right?
He has been pretty prickly on Twitter. He directly engaged Carli Lloyd over the pay dispute, sorta looking for a fight. He's been accumulating a few online jerk points from the Jozy school of charm.
I recall Bedoya getting in some Twitter trouble before that. Some misogynist comment a couple years ago. He's never really held back even when he should.
He's so ********ing salty all the time. Does anyone think he's DP material? I mean Valdez has proved to be a bust but come on Bedoya you ain't Messi.
He's definitely not Messi, but with some of the money being thrown around to mediocre players in MLS I'm sure he feels like he could get in on that too.
