An aside, speaking of CB's Im laughing at the notion that Mangala was worse than Ottamendi. HILARIOUS
I'm too lazy to look through old posts nor do I give a shite. Having said that I don't think you said that, I'm sure you only said he wasn't the most intelligent player and is a liability. Both of which he's starting to prove wrong. He's been immense for us. There definitely were a few that wanted him sold. I remember people calling for Reus as if he isn't injured every week.
You did. That's why you mentioned it in a passive-aggressive way. Def called him an idiot. He unfortunately does still prove it. End of the day we support Arsenal. We want us to do well.
Sanchez is a player that is a wrecking ball Sometimes he smashes the building into pieces Sometimes he misses it altogether But more often than not this year he's smashing the building
Well, we know this isn't going to happen, so let's enjoy the rest of the season like it's their last. http://metro.co.uk/2016/12/05/mesut...ay-to-sign-new-deals-with-the-gnners-6301723/
I don't know why its so hard to come to terms with the fact that Alexis is not a system player, but is also immensely talented. He does what he wants and is effective. He is like a talented AOC. the ox cant pull that stuff off so we berate him for playing dumb...its the same thing.
England is so behind especially the fans cause no one or lets say no one rarely writes on this level about EPL teams http://www.totalbarca.com/2016/12/messis-lack-position-breaking-system-clasico-thoughts-gifs/ This speaks to a lot of the issues I have with Wenger and mainly Alexis
Don't laugh at this, but I think a case needs to be made for David Luiz. Ball playing CBs that can pass around a high press to quickly launch attacks are incredibly valuable now. Koscielny is great defensively, but (not factoring in age), I think Mustafi is more valuable to Arsenal right now because he's better at initiating attacks.
So Americans know more than English people in general now? Or are just more open to stats and analysis?
Luiz makes horrible decisions in a 2 but is no doubt a technically excellent player and works well in a 3 I guess he was the second option behind Bonucci as the attack starting cb
Thats not what I'm saying. I"m saying pundits and fans of other leagues speak more in depth about the game than the EPL commentary and fans do.
i dont Most of them dont even try to research. Thats why Gary Neville was such a revelation when he took over right after he retired.
The English game does have many positive qualities that they discribe in cute little narrative sentences. Like "a cold night in Stoke", or "just when you want to see someone take it by the scruff of the neck". For me many national teams have benefited from the PL becoming a global league. Nations which were almost typified by their historic lack of fight or mental fragility. on the national stage. I'm looking right at Spain. English footballers mostly just seem to lack any ability to communicate. Truthfully English, English is a difficult language to understand unless you speak English from England fluently. And, lets be honest even the English sometimes stuggle.
A lot of English players are thick because u get a sick lifestyle on a platter from age 18 so why bovver edumucating yaself web you can play in da best league innit not like that Spanish Shite
On tonite's 5Live program they asked an interesting question: If you could only keep either Sanchez or Ozil, which one would you choose? Wow, that's a tough, angst-ridden decision for most Gooners, including me. But for the 3 panelists apparently it wasn't hard... they all said Sanchez. The 3 were: Joey Barton, Charlie Adam & Jonathan Norcroft. I suspect that some of this might be the tendency of pundits to blow with the breeze, to be very short-term, with a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately mentality. But I thought Barton gave the most emphatic reason given: consistency. And he's got a point. Mezut seems to have had more dips in form than Sanchez. And longer ones too. Where he's just not dominating games. Whereas Alexis, as long as he's fit, seems to bring a more consistent level of contribution. As an aside, I continue to marvel at the Joey Barton I hear on the radio, compared to the one on the pitch. If you haven't heard him, you'd be surprised at how thoughtful, articulate, well-read he is. He still says a few daft things, but generally I find myself enjoying his comments... as I try to suspend the deep disdain I have for him the player.
Ozil. First, their ages are similar (Oct v. Dec 1988 - 28 and 27). Second, Ozil's talents are not replaceable man for man. When Ozil leaves the entire system will need to be changed. Sanchez is having a fantastic season, but I think you could get by without him and replace enough of his performance.
