tip of the hat to @Dave Marino-Nachison for originally bringing this young man to our attention a little over two years ago. Aside from being listed as a German-American by soccer-talents, transfermarkt and owhentheyanks, he was confirmed to me to be German-American a few months ago. Becker is a '98 who just wrapped up a season with Freiburg's U-17 team, of which he was the team captain. Alec started 23 out of 26 games according to transfermarkt, 5 at RB, 5 at CB and 13 at DM. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alec-becker/leistungsdaten/spieler/278564
Looks like this is a transition year for him as he's still mainly with the U17s. TM is only showing 3 sub apps for the U19s 2 in August and 1 over this past weekend. Still not bad for a 17 y/o.
Transfermarkt says Freiburg re-upped with him for another season. I'm not seeing any U17 appearances for him last season; I think as a 98 he was too old for the U17s anyway. According to Transfermarkt he disappeared from the U19s from Sep - early Feb. Please correct me if you have info that I'm missing, but I'm going to guess that he was injured.
Scored for Freiburg U19's vs. Nuremberg, in just his second U19 Bundesliga appearance since September. https://www.scfreiburg.com/teams/junioren/u19/spielbericht
Becker played sparingly this season for Freiburg U19, registering eight appearances scattered throughout the year. He is a 98 and will age out of the U19 league next season. The local press published a list of U19s moving to the U23s and Becker is not on it. http://www.badische-zeitung.de/spor...ist-beim-sc-freiburg-ii-gross--137318928.html His contract is up this summer; it's no surprise that a U19 depth player won't be moved up by the club.
He spent the last season as a freshman at UMASS Lowell. https://goriverhawks.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5086
He's now back in Germany with fifth-division Freiburger FC: https://www.ffc.de/oberliga-spielerkader/
He played the 2022 season at Barry University. https://gobarrybucs.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/alec-becker/5437
