The SD Flash were tweeting not long ago about rebranding. Is this the result of that, or is this entirely different? Either way, pretty intriguing. The daughters of a ouple of family friends played for an Albion team. You see their kids a lot at SDSU women's matches (not sure about men's). I hope this works out.

In Clare, Albion gets a proven goal scorer who brings a long list of professional experience and an NASL championship among other things. Hayes brings athleticism and size to a growing list of goal threats Albion now have at their disposal. He showcased his potential outmuscling the last defender for the team’s second goal most recently against LA Galaxy II.
What's the long term goal of Albion? To become an actual pro soccer club in a league with other pro clubs or just become king of the hill in the NPSL? San Diego needs pro outdoor soccer, run at the highest level.
The short term goal is to win the NPSL National Championship in 2016. Then make the jump into a higher league. We are currently putting pieces in place to substantially increase the profile of soccer in San Diego. We believe that being in San Diego is too big of an opportunity and the nation needs a pro club from one of the largest soccer markets in the United States. We have great connections with many of the media outlets in the area due to the great stories and discussion we have been able to garner. They see an opportunity to grow with Albion and promote Professional Soccer in San Diego as a viable possibility in the very near future. We like to think that we are building something great and people all across the nation are taking notice of the way we have splashed onto the soccer scene. We had over 2,000 fans at our inaugural friendly vs Real San Jose and even had a G-Form sponsored Skydiver deliver the game ball. Check out the video below!

We think its a possibility, especially with the uncertainty surrounding the Chargers. However, we have not been included in the discussions. Our goal is to be the frontrunner for an MLS team, considering the youth base we have and great support we have already achieved in the first few months of existence. MLS in San Diego is a no brainer.
