The fields and entire complex surrounding the Pro Football Hall Of Fame are really quite nice. It will be something to behold once finished. Maybe a dozen fields, some turf, some grass, all equipped for football, soccer, lacrosse. I even saw one artificial field additionally lined for (my guess) rugby.

https://instagram.com/p/BhZ24jEHItN/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=embed_profile_upsell_control Evidently, recent Zips transfer Marco Micaletto personally witnessed Roma's historic victory over Barcelona. Roma is presumably Marco's boyhood team. What a night that must have been!
A surprisingly large crowd (for noon Sunday in Spring) watched the Zips and Terrapins draw 1-1. This match was much more competitive and spirited than the typical Spring scrimmage. Chippy, even. Each side dominated the contest through long stretches, with each side squandering numerous chances. I was impressed with the number of Terrapin supporters traveling for their team.

There are so many new faces this year in camp, it is difficult to keep them all straight. And now that the newcomers have shaven heads (per Zips custom) the task is nearly impossible. I will get there eventually... Akron Men’s Soccer Adds Seven to 2018 Roster. https://gozips.com/news/2018/8/3/akron-mens-soccer-adds-seven-to-2018-roster.aspx

And off to Ft. Wayne on Friday to tangle with Hoosiers. I wish I could go. Do Zips have a cohesive team, or do they merely have talented components from disparate backgrounds, literally from all over the World? This will be a good gauge.
i was happy to see deandre yedlin's knee is going to be ok. hopefully he bounces back quickly. it's great to see him getting real time in the EPL.
Akron Zips 2-2 Butler Bulldogs 2OT This was evenly matched, but not for the same reasons. Zips were more talented, but Bulldogs were better organized and more disciplined. Result may be very different should these sides meet in November. Praises for both teams as the match proved quite physical without ever taking on malice. Referee Sergio Gonzalez controlled things by consistently calling it tight. If you do not yet recognize the name David Egbo, that is on you. https://gozips.com/news/2018/8/24/mens-soccer-akron-battles-no-9-butler-to-a-2-2-double-ot-draw.aspx https://butlersports.com/news/2018/...er-secures-tie-at-akron-in-top-10-battle.aspx
