Title created to appease bluedaddy. Was gonna put this in my old thread, but it is over the 500post limit and died off without needing to be closed. anyway, good news. Ajax land Malmö FF striker Markus Rosenberg http://www.ajax-usa.com/news/2004-2005/ajax-land-striker-markus-rosenberg-on-four-year-deal.html
as expected, van den brom nameed youth director http://www.ajax-usa.com/news/2004-2005/john-van-den-brom-is-new-director-of-youth-development.html
Ajax did a final take-it-or-leave-it offer to AZ and now have signed Olaf Lindenbergh. We are still waiting for atleast a new left back and hopefully a new left winger as well.
When is Maxwell out till? Do you know how Emanuelsen (sp?) has been doing? Also, wouldnt left wing be fine being covered by Babel and then Mitea?
AT5 reports Thomas Vermaelen is back at Ajax. Danny Blind told him he needs to concentrate on the position of left centraldefender. Here he will compete with Julien Escudé.
1-until october, i believe 2-emanuelsson is with ORANJE U-20's for the WYC 3-i totally think so, but most don't seem to agree with me
ty. is emanuelsson still playing LB or did he move to the #10 (i think remember reading that he was both). is he good enough to cover while maxwell is out?
Maxwell will be out untill October I think, but he hasn't extended his contract and thus will leave. Emanuelson while most likely having the talent isn't ready for the first team yet I think. I believed he played two games and he was pretty bad in those. With Rosales on the right I was hoping we would get a leftwinger with a better cross. While Rosales is a great player that is not his strength. A player like Piet Keizer would be very welcome on the left. I also think Blind will use Babel mostly in the center where he and Rosenberg will compete. There is also Charisteas but I believe he will be gone soon since I have the feeling Blind isn't confident in him. We also have Manucharyan but he is not ready for starting line-up. And there is also Anastasiou who reported to sign a new deal soon.
i think he was moved to d-mid for jong AJAX, not #10 - as for covering for maxwell... ummm... it's probably best to bring someone in and let him stay learning under van den brom for now
his contract isn't up until next summer, and supposedly he was to sign a one-year extension before too long
I never heard he was a number 10, I heard he was left fullback or left midfielder. I don't think he is ready as you can read above.
damn your way too fast. I heard he wasn't signing an extension and thus will leave on a free. Would suck, he's a great player.
This is mostly because he is a false winger and thus will always cut inside and go for the goal. I want some real wingers again. This is about the only way to beat Catenaccio when done well.
hmmmm saw him cross well enough times, and i think a real winger mixes it up... that way you don't know what's coming i've also been wondering if blind doesn't plan to push a man up and go to an old school squashed 424 setup for example: babel.....charisteas....rosales .............rosenberg ........./\.............../\ ......maduro........de jong
Lindenbergh ajacied again http://www.ajax-usa.com/news/2004-2005/clubs-agree-fee-olaf-lindenbergh-is-an-ajacied-again.html I am going to have you guys tell me what my opinion is on this, as I dont know him. It looks like Galasek will be on his way out now. What I want to know is, what does this have to do with Maduro? Will he played as a substitute now?
The front will be quite a thing given the amount of #10s we supposedly have now (Manuchyrian, Rosenborg, Anastasiou, Charisteas, Babel). I wouldn't mind seeing Babel on the left then, given the congestion in the middle. Aside from Rosales, who is next on the right, Mitea?
Right. Forgot about them. Wasn't De Ridder supposedly going to be loaned for a year to a premiership club?
de ridder is gonna be loaned out, de mul will be promoted to the 1st team again. pienaar is also an option there.
Someone on the Ajax board has some brains: http://skysports.planetfootball.com...Maduro+reveals+contract+talks&channel=Holland Re-signing of Maduro to longer than 2007
would be nice if De Ridder would join FFC. He would probably be a good fit if Andy Cole left. But somehow, I dont think so...
I don't think he'll do that. It would be extremely hard to dominate any midfield in that formation. I'm going for this: leftwinger----------Babel/Rosenberg-----------Rosales ----------Sneijder-------------------de Jong* ------------------------Maduro ---leftback---------Escudé-Grygera--------Trabelsi* *Hopefully they will extend their comtract. Babel and Rosenberg will both start a match or five and then the other one. Sneijder will go to the number 10 position when Ajax is in posession. And de Jong will make his runs over the feeld to dominate the midfield with steady force Maduro. They will give Sneijder the freedom to concentrate mostly on passing. The leftback will also cover Sneijder so de Jong will not have to much for him to handle. This is just what I think he'll do and I kinda like it.
