  1. He's the next move into the destruction of Ajax. The first move was FdB, but somehow the other clubs managed to give him the 4 titles, while being succesful in making Ajax suck. So the mission was incomplete in execution. Time for plan B(osz).:D

To be fair, that's the norm in the game these days. Frank staying around as long as he did was kind of unusual, imo.

Even in it's current poor shape Ajax has still no competition outside of PSV. It's no longer 2010 when new challengers appeared. Bosz would need to pull weird stuff in Europe or have a scandal off field to lose confidence quickly. If he makes the team play nice football again, a lot of match going fans will be grateful. The Arena has been half empty at times during this season.

Apparently Everton are seriously considering hiring Overmars as their technical directer. This is good to hear, I think that he is a bigger problem for Ajax than de Boer is.

I just hope and pray that they don't appoint LVG now as their TD. That'll undo all the positives of the appointment of Bosz in a jiffy..

^^ He'll most likely end up at KNVB if he isn't going to retire.

Interesting article on catenaccio.nl but behind a pay wall: Bosz is the coach whose game reflects Cruijffs vision on football the most. In the table the 9 key elements of Cruijff's philosophy and which teams have met them in recent years. Especially the performance of Oranje is shameful.

Fischer has just played extremely well for the NT at Kirin Cup as a secondary striker. It's too bad the Ajax system didn't allow for one and i fear Middlesbrough is going to stick him out left too. At least he's sealed his position on the NT now.

As expected U-16 MF Juan Familla Castillo signed with Chelsea where he will probably languish before moving on to a mid-table EPL team if he is lucky. He's probably doing it for the money but also he realizes that there are some extremely talented young MFs in the Ajax program that are better than he is. This is the fifth player now to leave Ajax before making it to the A-1 team. Fosu-Mensah (ManU) has played first team football and I think Malen (Aresenal) had a call up for a league cup match. Peeters (Madrid) and Dilrosun (ManCity) are still in the youth ranks. Other than Fosu-Mensah, I'm not sure that the others will succeed with the clubs that they have joined. I hope they have invested the money well.

I wonder if Overmars taken steps to avoid this incessant looting . PSV managed to keep his best young players in recent years , despite the interest of the big clubs . I think aboout players like Joel Piroe and the Italian Scamacca .

Yes, he is paying more attention. However, some players just wanted to go to a bigger club right away. Of the four that left before Castillo, only Fosu-Mensah had expressed a desire to stay with Ajax but he was not offered a contract. The others wanted more money right away. We'll see how they all do in the years to come.

Jaap Stam has become the manager of my club! We are the biggest shambles possible behind the scenes so I can only assume he suffered mental problems when he agreed to come here but he will be sacked in around 5 months anyway when the owners decide he is not top of the league by 10 points so not good enough.

    Still, exciting times.

I used to follow Reading when Bobby Convey who started his pro career with DC United played there. Good luck with Stam, great defender but mediocre manager.

Matteo Casierra is the first player bought by Ajax for next season . A young Colombian striker . Another Colombian player should also join the team: Davinson Sanchez, a defender.

Sanchez is in Amsterdam and scheduled for a medical tomorrow. He's a right footed defender and either van der Hoorn or Veltman will be gone this summer.

^^I've seen that as well but only Milik has any value, particularly if Poland progress in the Euros. Where does van der Hoorn move to?

That's my feeling as well. Maybe one of the "big" clubs that was just relegated - Aston Villa or Newcastle. Certainly Aston Villa could use him. I don't know what FdB's situation is right now and whether he will even be managing next season. At this moment the only jobs that look open are Southampton, Valencia, and maybe Sevilla if Unai Emery leaves. If FdB lands at one of those three teams maybe he tries to get van der Hoorn.

Since James Rodriguez seems to be on the outs at Madrid, perhaps he can be persuaded to join his fellow Columbians at Ajax next year. We would truly have a decent #10 player!!!
