Amin owes Azizi lunch after that horrendous play.
BS decision then.
WHAT. A. GOAL.
Another wrong offside call!
Honestly, we should have won that match. Oways fumbling balls leading to goal has become a worrying trend. On the other side of the pitch, our header quality was shocking, specially with no Vietnamese pressure on defense. Imo Amani was brought in too late.
Ovays deserves man of the match, he played fantastic!!! The Vietnam goal could've been easily avoided, we just needed another defender in that post -_-
Ovays saved it, and if we had a defender beside him, that goal would've been stopped, hopefully we play better on the second leg... this group is winnable for us!
For all the great saves Ovays makes per game he always ********s it up with a stupid butterfingers mistake.
With Amani on the pitch today he probably would of gotten a goal. Considering all the crosses the wingers were playing in it doesnt really make sense why Zubayr was started.
The lack of organization when defending set pieces has been a problem for a while for Afghanistan.
No but seriously I could see the difference of quality since the switch of personnel. They are playing much better football, good passing and movement. Silly mistake which let them score other wise we dominated. Was certain we were going to get a goal but annoyed the second didn't come through. Benjamin on the right hand side looks quality. Sharif looked good and Milad Salem was lethal. Still should've brought on sharza imo. We have to beat Cambodia next match.
Hoping Pfister works on that before our games against Jordan and Cambodia.
will be absolutely crucial vs jordan
I agree really promising signs for our future under Pfster. We dominated however we werent able to create many chances out of that domination and were suspect on the counter. Had Farshad Noor played in his natural position that could have solved those problems.
Need to send a message to Vietnam and Jordan vs Cambodia!!
Though Azizi did a poor job of parrying the ball after saving the free kick Kanishka deserves blame for ball watching aswell.
We can easily become second if we get a player who can finish the chances we create. So many chances but not one player with the finishin job. Overall it was a good game with players like Amin, Azizi and despite the mistake of Mukhammad those were the players that played good. Nadjem, Salem and Popalzay did tried their best but were not good enough today. Noor has to play central midfield like against Singapore. This was his best game with alot of good passes and combinations. I hope next time Azadzoy and Norlla will start as wingers. Hopefully Zazai will then play against Cambodia as attacking midfielder. Maybe Sakhizada will accept the invitation and can start with Mukhammad as central defenders. Hadid is at that time injury free and can start as right back. Azizi and Amin are the regular players who need to start no matter what.

I am really surprised and dissapointed about the news that the former national team coach Petar Segrt is in Kabul to support a candidate for the upcoming AFF presidential election. I think it's time to give my opinion and tell you guys the truth. I will do this for once and never again. First we have to thank Petar for his part in the success and development that we had together during his time. But what he is doing at the moment is not acceptable. Where in the football world could you see that a former coach support a new president candidate to get his job back? He is still in contact with some players trying to manipulate their minds. But believe me our players don't play for any specific coach, they play for their lovely country and their people. We come from all over the world to wear the red jersey, to sing the national anthem and to fight for the flag. We come from different places and areas in Afghanistan but we play with eachother like brothers. Thats exactly what we want to teach the young generation. I understand that people were happy with Petar Segrt. But if you carefully see the last two matches you could see that we played much better football then before. So we don't need Petar Segrt or any other former coaches. I've told Petar Segrt this after his retirement and I will tell him this now again: STOP destroying our national team for your own benefit! You had your time and now you should show some respect for the new staff and let them do their job. If you really love the Afghan people like you always say you would never do this. I ask you guys to stop supporting people that try do destroy our beloved team. This team is one of the reason our people smile in the country these days, it is one of the reasons our people feel proud being Afghan these days. So it deserve a better treatment. We love our people and we will do anything to make you guys proud and give you the happines you deserve. ❤️
By his logic we don't need Shayesteh either
Segrt being in Kabul is weird. Let's see how it plays out.
I would like to provide my advise to all of Afghan football (fans, players, coaching, Federation).
Get on with the football!, this is not a business, its a sport, so start developing and achieving. We have made good progress, but still we need to work much harder.
all this other nonesense is just B.S!
Josef shirdel has signed for liga 6 German team desimspor Hamburg.
They are currently 4th.
That is quite a step down.
Shirdel was capable of playing at such a higher level, I have no clue why we went to liga 6
Apparently in a recent interview he stated there was too much politics in football and all the clubs he went on trial, because he didn't have a common name, he was not well known, he was discarded straight away.
Maybe it's a good thing he starts playing and enjoying his football before embarking on another overseas potential stint
