Kuwait SC was a bad visitor in Hong Kong when they came for the semi-final 2nd leg. They really do not deserve to win. So I am cheering for Al Karamah.

If Karamah win, they are going to be in the AFC Champions League playoffs. That is still unjust, they belong there any way and proved it 3 years in a row by making it out of the group stages.

    Come on Karamah!!

Match is 17 minutes underway, Al Kuwait leads 1-0 after a terrible mistake by Al Karamah's goalie.

    HT 1-0 to Kuwait

Full house in Kuwait. Apparently the biggest crowd they've had for a club game in years. Good loud atmosphere as well. It clearly encouraged the home team, who started the game at a high tempo. It was almost like a Kuwait v Saudi game :D ! They hit the bar in the 8th minute, then later got their lead thanks to a howler by Karamah's keeper, who blocked a whipped in free kick but then fumbled the ball into his own net.

The game's intensity slightly fizzled in the second part of the half, with Kuwait settling down, and Karamah trying to build momentum. They had a few chances but otherwise Kuwait went into the dressing room with a deserved lead.

    FT 2-1 to Kuwait

The second half was a bit disappointing. Kuwait looked happy to sit on their slender lead and kill the game, whilst Karamah while having some scoring chances never really managed to pile on the pressure. The Kuwaitis were time wasting, with an Oscar winning performance by their keeper, and it was a dangerous game. They were rightly punished by the Syrians 10 minutes from time when Kuwait striker Nasser al-Qahtani went down. Quickly playing the throw in, the left winger lobbed a long cross-field ball towards the box, and it was back heeled to the back of the net.

This woke up both teams as first Karameh, then Kuwait pressed for a winner. As the game entered injury time, the Kuwaitis lined up the chances, and finally got the winner with virtually the last kick of the game. Brazilian Rogerio dribbled to the byline on the right and reversed a cross to the onrushing Ismail who headed it home beautifully. A well taken goal to settle the match.

    Congratulations Kuwait, hard luck Karameh

I just don't like Kuwait SC. I hope they get thrashed in the AFC CL next year every time out.

But this result means South China is competitive enough. South China will win it next year.

Congratz to Kuwait. I dont think Karamah deserved to win. But neither did Kuwait.

I must say though, that keeper, hell of an actor. I have seriously never seen ANYONE roll around like that, ever!!! Even Eduardo didnt do that when he got hurt, and then he some how manages to finish the game.

They've had one good season, hard to say if they would win it on that.

I am happy that we will play CL qualifiers.I think we will come back to CL.

But though I am not happy with the CL-format,because AFC didn´t change it.

So if this two AFC Cup winners:rolleyes: (you know that I mean Kuwait and Karamah) play CL,they didn´t enter because they are KUWAIT AND SYRIA,they just did enter because of reaching AFC Cup final.
That is sth, that makes me angry and disappointed.
So AFC still didn´t realize that Kuwait and Syria should get one spot....:(

AFC does not even grant HK a play-off spot either. They keep changing their criteria so only Japan, Australia, Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan...etc can play.

I really hope South China or Kitchee can play in AFC CL. South China is determined to win the AFC Cup in 2010 and I really hope they do.

My respond to that would be, bring up the level of your domestic league, and then I am sure AFC will grant your league with at least a spot. Number of spots are revised every two years.

I would say take a half spot from UAE and give it to Syria or Kuwait.
