Rumor has it that AFC Bournemouth will be in Philadelphia for pre-season, coupled with the Sakiewicz sighting at their final home game against Bolton - seems that rumor could be credible.

Is there a chance that the union could be playing Bournemouth this summer anything official or unofficial from the FO?

No idea, but the question is do you have a goalie you want to sell? We only have 6 on our roster in some fashion, and it's probably not enough.

Just like Crystal Palace last year. The FO has their "technically a premier league team" set up.

Sak is just trolling the fans or is that just giving him too much credit?

They've been bringing in some real heavyweights. So Bournemouth would fit the mold.

I'll never understand the people who'd rather see this than a free Open Cup match.

    It's not the savviest fanbase.

(Although the that's probably the case for most MLS STH.)

Learn from Bournemouth, learn from Southampton - the only shot we have at competing with big money teams is following models that work.

I'm not going. I have to work...and I just don't care. I'd go if I didn't have to work, but I'm not wasting a vacation day to watch Antoine Hoppenot run aimlessly against the "B" team of a Cinderella EPL team. I couldn't name a single player on their team...and to be fair, I'm sure they probably haven't even heard of us, so they don't give a shit, either.

They need to either make it a top flight European team or maybe a good Liga MX side because those can be fun. Otherwise, nobody cares. What's the fricking point?

Bournemouth fan here living near Raleigh NC. Nice to see the mighty Cherries coming over here, we are more used to playing Torquay and Bristol Rovers in pre season friendlies so this is unknown territory for us. I think their is quite a few Bournemouth expats and people making the effort to come over for the match. Just a quick question, us Brits dont do the tailgaiting thing so are their any decent Pubs near your Stadium? I looked at the surrounding streets on Google Maps and their doesn,t seem to be much near your Stadium, so is it better to put a few beers down in central Philly? Cheers for any help and have a good Footy Season. We are certainly looking forward to our first season in the Premier League. UTCIAD

PS, if you think we are not very good take a look at the highlights of Bournemouth v Bolton on Youtube

I'm someone who can't even get excited about a friendly against a "big" club..... but at the very least Big Clubs let me make some money off of stub hub.... this shit though..... ugh.

    (I'll probably still go)

Chester bars not recommended...... I mean, I guess you could hang out at the Casino for a bit if you really wanted something halfway decent in proximity to the stadium but thats about it... If you are coming up to visit earlier in the day and have enough time I'd hang out in Center City then work my way back south for the game.

If you value your life do not go to a bar near the stadium. That's Chester man. Police don't even go there except for game day traffic.

Get a cooler, fill it with beer. Walk around and be nice to people, they will talk to you and then you are tailgating.
