Wes best player for schalke. Ta invisible tbf though partially because of how bad schalke is.

Tyler is a little up and down today. He makes a nice touch to break pressure, then gets in the way as he continues his run into the final third. It seems like his job is to stay deep today, with no Demme in the lineup. And Schalke are not playing much up the middle, so less to do defensively.

Yeah, Adams not much to do today, got muscled off the ball once, could have done better on one chance for Shalke, but mostly nothing going on in his part of the field. A few nice touches to release pressure. Wes doing OK, not really adding much, not really looking like a right back, but at least not coughing it up. No one on Shalke really helping matters. Hope this doesn't mean the new coach sees him as primarily a right back.

I “guess” it’s a good thing that TA isn’t really doing much. Since his job is to protect the back line.

There's nothing for Adams to do. Schalke can barely get the ball into the midfield

Mckennie out of midfield always ends up like this. Don’t see why they keep pretending the upgrade he might provide at rb, which seems dubious, is worth falling off a cliff in the center of the pitch

Yes, the mighty heights that the Schalke central midfield once had. Which year are we talking about?

Wes uses his superpower and tries to put a header on goal but just wide.

That point in the game where all the balls get flighted to McKennie’s head in the vague hope he can somehow score.

Nice work by Wes to win long ball in channel and make centering pass that his teammate blasts high and wide. This match isn’t a great advertisement for Bundesliga quality.

Nice sombrero by Wes to get off a pass to the top of the box. Shot over the bar. Good chance.

Yes, he is not a forward but I can see why a desperate team would stick him up top. I

I mean let’s not pretend that insipid schalke haven’t had more competitive and less competitive efforts

Some more nice work by Wes going into the box. Adams pretty much enjoying the view in this match.

Good play from Wes, then puts his teammate in on goal, but the ball is tackled away before he can strike it.

The problem with the long throws into the box, is Schalke has no one to head it, except for you-know-who, and he’s doing the throw.

    They miss Naldo’s box presence.
