Got his ass kicked and threw the previous head coach under the bus. Stephen F Austin looked at this as hiring a power five head coach no matter how bad their record was.
Also heard RM looking to see if Taylor Schram (current Dartmouth asst/former U20 National player/PSU player) has any interest in talking about coming back home to Pittsburgh. Would be her first HC job but the high level pedigree is there and she has been very well regarded at the previous AC stops she's been at. Would be very interesting to see if new RMU AD goes that route or not for his first hire there.
Colgate with on campus interviews this week. Houston assistant is there, has 3 years of D1 coaching experience with each season being a losing one and bad press from multiple investigations. Georgetown assistant is there too, 5 years of D1 coaching experience. Interesting turn of events there. Had good experienced alum candidates they could have gone to like Jen Hughes and Kelly Kuss. Apparently they also spoke to head coaches from the America East, MAAC, and MAC as well. But going the young female inexperienced route (sound familiar?). That one veered off in a different direction, they could have and should have a better finalist pool for that job.
Curious: why do people think Kelly/Bucknell would prefer or be interested in Colgate over Bucknell? Honest question
SEC Asst, Ivy HC and Ivy AC along with an NEC Head Coach were in the mix at Colgate as well, but looks like they are headed down the path of a young female Asst for that job. And then there were 2.
I know both towns well, and Hamilton, NY might seem like a beacon of light to a person stuck in Lewisburg, PA. Students at Bucknell University can endure 4-years knowing they will be moving on, but for an adult, it’s a different story. But to each her own.
The cackling I am hearing is from all the SEC coaches. A coach with three years at the Division II level just got the head job at LSU. This program that went to the second round of the NCAA Tournament just two years ago hired someone with no DI head experience for a Power 5 job. Brian Lee has got to be grinning watching this shipwreck. Lots of programs hungry to add LSU to their schedule now
I’m not saying LSU settled, but they settled. At least three highly reputable P5 head coaches and two of their assistants are rumored to have turned down some ludicrous money and contract lengths offers from Baton Rouge. Think 10 year deals well north of $250,000 per year. Again, that was/is the rumor going around at the winter showcases and I don’t have any way to confirm it short of stopping one of the coaches here in Bradenton and asking them!
How about the SUU hire? A volunteer coach, not even paid and was fired at his last two./three college jobs? Thats the best they could do there. He can't do worse than the last guy, but still, I would think they'd get more than a volunteer assistant applying and hired.

False, one of the lower budgets and salaries in the SEC and a major reason Brian Lee left. Brown HC was first choice and turned it down.
Some data/stats trivia: At this time last year, there were 18 teams we knew were making head coach changes. As of today this year, there are 24. Last year, we ended up with 38 teams making changes. If that rate holds this year, we'll end up with 50 or 51 changes.
Brown might of been their first choice in December 2019 but wasn’t their first choice in the summer of 2019. LSU reached out to some big time names and got flat turned down over the past spring/summer. You can’t win a title at LSU and they weren’t ready to sacrifice that chance for a pay day.
