It was more of an FYI as people are planning their Memorial Day trips now. Having it on the Tuesday makes no sense. James
Nothing other than the press release I quoted. I can't see how this would benefit LAFC as they will likely have less attendance. Perhaps there is an event being held in Exposition Park that would interfere with the match traffic? James
exactly... we were told the reason they couldn't move the match from 3/17 to 3/18 was TV. Which seemed weird to me. It's not like NC8 can't be flexible with their schedule.
But what evidence is there that the team would have opted for a more satisfactory venue? Their agility isn't exactly their best feature.
Laughing Cows being the perpetual exception . . . regardless of outcome. [cough] [trophy case] [cough]
You have a point. I'm never too old to learn or have a past lesson reinforced. Ask the Steelers how punking the Jaguars before their playoff game worked for them. Not only beaten, but humiliated. For a player not smart, a fan's BS most likely unnoticed and even less impact on the internet As for the Joisey Boyz they evened the 2 decade score in the last tango at RFK. And I'm never getting over United letting that happen.
Speaking of scheduling, Goff had an article about the Spirit possibly playing at Audi on August 25. "The schedule is clear: United is on the road against the New York Red Bulls that weekend and the Washington Nationals are in New York to play the Mets, providing logistical flexibility for an event at the 20,000-capacity soccer venue at Buzzard Point." So we could have had a Saturday home match but instead we are on the road, forcing us to play another weeknight game. Thanks, MLS!
Regardless of outcome? If they suck, but they still beat the crap out of DCU, what does that make DCU? It's all academic to me, though - I don't know any RB supporters to razz.
I imagine every team plays Wednesdays, some better than others, and some in front of more fans. I don't understand the uneven schedule that has some teams playing 5 or 6 more games than others at certain points in the season.
If we're going to have a road game, I prefer that it's on a weekday. It's easier to watch and not be distracted by other weekend activities. As for the players, I'm sure they'd prefer the extra rest.
Per Goff article just now, starters tomorrow v. Vegas likely to start v. Orlando, and all seems to be settled except for goalkeeper Ousted/Clark NDL Brillant Birn Fisher Moreno Arriola Segura Steiber Asad Mattocks Acosta suspended, Kemp, Canouse won't be ready and didn't go to Vegas
Have I misunderstood the meaning of this thread? Mayhaps. What do outcomes have anything to do with giving schick to a rival? Raise the issue of "outcomes" to the supporters of: ManU/ManCity, Arsenal/Spurs, Roma/Lazio, Barca/Real Madrid, Liverpool/ManU, Bayern/Dortmund, Celtic/Rangers, etc., etc., ad barfium. So the Cows have been beating us of late. That's supposed to earn them some sort of grudging respect from us-- them and all 68 of their fans? Hah. Hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, snort, hah, hah, hah. [Adler wipes tears away] Yeah, right. Again-- am I missing something here? Please advise.
Considering the masochistic leanings of the eternally hopeful I'd suggest a tablespoon of play sand added to each container of Vaseline
I thought this a couple weeks ago. After watching some preseason ball, I'm no longer so sure. Both were kinda scary tbh.
