Bring back O2!!! "Fly Emirates" would be better off on the sleeve if you are gonna have sleeve sponsors, ...and have O2 retake their rightful place as our main shirt sponsor, maybe we'll (finally) win the League for a change (in 2003-04 O2 sponsored our shirts then, when we P38 W26 D12 L0), much like what the Vegas Golden Knights are doing right now in Game 2 of the best-of-7 Stanley Cup Finals against the Washington Capitals leading 1-0 early on in the first period on a goal by James Neal. Unfortunately, as a loyal LA Kings fan (since 1975 at 9 years old) I can only sit and watch after being swept by them in the first round 4 straight. Hopefully The Gunners can DO SOMETHING THIS COMING SEASON besides CHOKE like the Kings did against Vegas. BTW, VGK lead the series 1-0
My new home and goalkeeper kits came in this morning from ArsenalDirect.com via DHL through the USPS, and I will be putting up extensive photo galleries of both as well as a review on what i think of them later on this afternoon. I also got a 10 GBP gift card from them for meeting a minimum order amount, and I just might use that towards the away and third kits once they become available for order!!! BTW, I can tell you fellow Gooners this, two things, 1) at least mine do not have "Visit Rwanda" on the left sleeve (I would've opted out if they had that or EPL patches available) and 2) they are definitely not anything to write home about, that's for sure.
You're probably thinking about least season's home goalkeeper kit, that one, was teal. You know, this one:
Personally, I'm not a fan of the Nigeria WC kits, but selling out in 3 hrs is impressive https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nigeria-snazzy-world-cup-kit-113733921.html
Here is that latest leak on our new away kit fir this season, scheduled to be released later this month, like the home and GK kits not much to write home about but nevertheless it's slightly better than the gradient photo-blue-fade-to-royal-blue kit we wore on the road last season, but I don't know, we'll see when I actually take delivery of it after I preorder it from ArsenalDirect.com. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2017/12/arsenal-18-19-away-kit.html
I thought you kit junkies would be interested in what Arseblogger said on his most recent Arsecast: that Adidas is a done deal for our next kit contract. Presumably that will lead to some more "normal" designs?
I’ll have to look around to see if they have done any kits with contrasting sleeves. I’m sure the 3 stripes are down the sleeves.
That WILL cause a problem for the kit designers that be at Adidas, I don't think they've ever worked with anything as unique as an Arsenal home red/white kit before. Don't forget this is not our first rodeo with Adidas, they used to make Arsenal's kits back when Arsenal great (double-winner as a player in 1970-71) George Graham managed us to 2 championships back in '89 and '91 (and Liverpool's kits too during their Kenny Dalglish-managed late 1980s dynasty) during the old Football League Division One/First Division years when that was England's top flight in the late 80s-early 90s (and when we beat their asses in 1989 2-nil at that [so-called] impenetrable fortress known as Anfield to win the title for the first time since 1970-71, thanks to Michael Thomas in the 92nd minute!!! ) and at the time they never had the three stripe design anywhere on their kits, as it was the (now) old-school "three-petal leaf" days at that company back then, so this is gonna be quite interesting to see how and where they incorporate the three stripes when it comes (specifically) to the Arsenal home kits. Here is a clip of our title win in 1988-89, while wearing what was some of Adidas' best AFC kits back then, sponsored by the good folks at JVC, while Liverpool had their Adidas threads sponsored by Candy Appliances then, ENJOY and COYF'n'G!!! Up yours Bruce Grobbelaar!!! Michael Thomas PWN'D your ass that time!!!
One of the current designs have the 3 stripes on the shoulders instead of down the arms. I would love if the new Addidas kit resembled this: The body would be red with the 3 stripes down the inseams.
Doing the rounds. Matches all the leaks. The away wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't for those awful shorts. The third wouldn't be as bad if it had navy shorts. The home shirt can burn in a fire. Along with Pumas designers. But Ian Wright this morning has come out and said on twitter we will be with Adidas next season so maybe he knows something we don't. Regarding mock Adidas x Arsenal kits, some doing the rounds already are better than ANYTHING Puma did for us, and better than some of Nikes good ones.
This, yes... please god, just this. Would actually buy (though I could do without the snaps). Would love to see a kit with just white sleeves, instead of the white bleeding up into the body as we've seen for so often.
