That is sort of the point of the quote.

The first half-ends. It was grinding, but Pulisic played well. None of his trademark flashy runs, but he earned many fouls, earning a yellow to the LB, and creating a FK resulting in the second goal. He also took the CK resulting in the third goal. Although he won't get the assist (as the first header was saved before the scoring bicycle), it was good service.

    3-1 Dortmund.

He's going to have a better 2nd half as RB throws everyone forward. He should have plenty of room to run on the counters.

The new Swiss-African CB is a big strong dude. A little slow though. We will see if he can replace Sokratis.

Another great save from Burki, Werner hits a blazing volley, but Burki smacks it over the cross-bar.

Don't understand why BvB keep playing the ball over the air to CP. I don't recall him ever winning a header.

Dahoud puts it into the stands. Wasted chance.

CP hasn't been sharp with his passes.

Agreed. He's had a couple decent runs and turns but lacks the cutting pass.

He's won one header. That's it.

They're lobbing the ball to his side. He's not a holdup striker.

RBL looking bound to score a second. Same demons still haunting BVB.

Wolf, new signing comes on for Max Philip. Philip was useless. This might push Reus up to CF.

Wolf coming on for Phillip. Didn't think Wolf looked very good in the Pokal game. Hopefully he can show better today.

How does that explain his misplaced passes?

We'll see. I feel like Dortmund has been close to cracking them open on the counter a couple times too. But yeah, I can this going to 4-1 or 3-2 in the next 10 minutes.

Pulisic gets dispossessed, and then complains, but it seemed a perfectly clean tackle.

Last 3 transitions, CP with ball and space and time and support on the break but dribbles into trouble or cant execute the pass.

Not a good 2nd half for him.

I think he's kind of forward-ish in this system. It seemed like Reus, Phillip, and Wolf all popped up as the most forward player in the Pokal game.

He's a forward that plays in the backfield
