Wow. Is this the same Chelsea team that played against 'Pool? What a fiasco in the center of the field. The team stopped playing as a team. Nobody even tried to use CP in an advantageous way. In fact, CP generally moved away from the flank toward the middle on most attacks and pretty much never received the ball in any space going forward. The flank was left to the left back. IMHO, Mount has been given an outsize role and the team lacks a player controlling the overall defensive effort. Too many uncoordinated individuals.

Commentator statement says it all. To paraphrase, "Chelsea at its best and its worst in the same game."

Pulisic didn’t have a great game, but boy do the Chelsea fans hate Willian more than anything else.

Are you grateful that David Luiz is no longer delivering cheap shots on Arsenal players?

Correct and that's no deflection for Pulisic. He's playing like he wants out before the European window closes.

Agree with Mount needing a more defined role. I love his energy but there is no positional discipline for him and it kills the midfield at times.

Chelsea fans will do what their known for and hurl racist comments towards Willian.

It was either going to be Mount or CP. They wanted the veterans on the field for crunch time.

Possibly. He certainly doesn’t look useful unless there are a couple injuries.

Tammy’s not a veteran, neither is Mount. Pedro just played 120 minutes on Wed

Frank subbed OG to inject some energy up top for the final 25 minutes. Given the remaining options on the bench what would you do? All three attacking midfielders weren't playing well but Pedro was probably the best of the bunch.

If it's me I do exactly what Frank did and go with a proven match winner off the bench and leave Pedro on the field. Then the choice comes down to Mount or CP.

The overreaction here is ridiculous. He's going to be up and down, especially early on. He was really good vs. Liverpool in a match that both sides really wanted to win. He had a bad match today. Let's see how he rebounds before we claim he's not going to be useful.

His butt will grow right into the bench with a few more performances like that.

I agree, the fanboy in me says leave pulisic but Mount did have the goal. He surely did squander a couple of chances but Pulisic wasnt going to out run many people that late in the game for his typical blow by on the left side of the field run, so it was a crap shoot on who to take off.

I dont have a problem with it.

Chelski fans most dumping on Willian...

But the idea he's gonna walk into Hazard's boots is batshyte.

CP got subbed because he was by far the worst player. He didn't create anything or threaten the goal and lost the ball more than any other player.

You can sub any of Pulisic, Pedro, or Mount. None of them had been effective outside of the first 15-20 minutes.

Outside of the first 15-20 minutes, Mount and Pedro were far worse and lost the ball way more.

I dunno I think Pedro was slightly better then both. It also comes down to whether Frank wanted to move CP into the center to put Willian on the left. It probably made sense to leave Mount in the middle and hope that Willan could find a winner out on the left.
