They only met a month ago, but it seems as though things have changed very very much for both teams. Should be interesting

    @Gelsenkirchen.

I say Trochowski and Kiessling get a half each.

    ---------------Lehmann-------------

    Friedrich-----Merte----Metze----Lahm-

    --------------Frings-(Kehl)---------------

    Odonkor-------------Schweinsteiger-

    -----------Ballack (Trochowski)--------

    --(Kiessling)-Klose----Podolski---------

If we continue with our tactics from the WC, I'd like to see Polanski and Trochowski get their debuts, with Eugen replacing either Frings or Ballack at DM/CM and Piotr getting some time on the left for Schweini. I also wouldn't mind seeing Freier getting another shot at the NT (especially if he maintains his form of the 2nd half of last season).

BTW, is Schneider going to continue with the NT or has he announced his international retirement? If he has, it will leave a hole @ RM, depending on Deisler's recovery. As much as Odonkor impressed me as a 2nd half sub, I still don't think he's suited ATM for being a starter. Preferably, I'd like to see Frings back at RM, but that's unlikely. Perhaps move Schweini to the right, and let one of Borowski, Jansen, or perhaps even Trochowski play on the left?

I would like to see the younger players like Polanski and Trochowski get thier debuts, but at the same time I want to see a solid victory. Im mostly interested on the style of play as we change managers, I dont think it will tell us all that much but I CANT WAIT.

The style of play will most likely remain the same or similar, as Löw devised the tactics under Klinsmann.

As this match is a friendly, it also gives us more room to experiment than the upcoming qualifiers.

I don't expect major changes. A lot depends on the agreement with the clubs if some players still need a rest, but my guess is

Lehmann - Friedrich, Mertesacker, Metzelder, Lahm - Schneider, Frings, Ballack, Borowski - Klose, Podolski

    if all players are available.

Will be a tough game for Loew. The WC match against Sweden was superb, the media will already mock at him if he just ends up with a draw although Sweden played miles below their usual level at the WC.

Mertesacker won't be ready for that game, I read he is out at least until the 3rd Bundesliga matchday which is August 26th. Huth was also injured, Nowotny might play again or Manuel Friedrich get's a chance.

Nowotny is out. Friedrich might get a chance.

I can guarantee that it won't be as easy as the WC game by a long shot.

    I want new blood :D

    first half:

    --------------------Lehmann-------------------
    ---Lahm---Metzelder---Westermann---Jansen---
    --------------------Frings---------------------
    -----Borowski---------------Schweinsteiger----
    -------------------Ballack---------------------
    ----------Klose-----------Podolski-------------

    2nd half:

    ------------------Lehmann---------------------
    ---Lahm---Metzelder---Westermann---Jansen---
    ------------------Polanski----------------------
    -------Borowski-------------Trochowski---------
    ------------------Ballack-----------------------
    ----------Klose-----------Kießling---------------

Trochowski has some injury problems, I hope he will be fit for the match. I'd consider to nominate Boateng too but he seems to have an injury too.

    How is he progressing?

nah...definitely talented but had a REALLY BAD season with 1860 München. München sold him to Aachen so we will see him in the Bundesliga this season, maybe he can develop into a good player there.

anybody else that can do the job? There aren't many young German centrebacks in the Bundesliga. I'd accept Manuel Friedrich but that's it. Believe it or not, I see some talent in Westermann. ;)

Maybe Poland and Germany should officially merge their national teams? It's a bit unfair having Polanski, Sinkiewicz, Podolski, Trochowski, Klose etc. in our team without giving something back to the Poles. A combined NT would also possibly improve the relationship between both countries.

You are right, I think we should give them Ramelow and Jancker.

Strong squad. I think the Swedish team works better w/out Zlatan, but now w/out Larsson, its hard to see where the goals come from.

    I bet for a Frings-Borowski-Schneider-Schweini midfield
    (If they are avaliable).
