2-2. DCU runs out to a 2-0 lead off the high press and coughs up the equalizer in second half stoppage time.

This is probably going to happen, but we'll lose 4-3.

We don't do well after layoffs, our "system" requires repetitiveness - so even though we're the better team ...

    DCU 2
    Revs 2

... in a switch, we come back to tie in the 84th

It doesn't even make sense we're actually scoring goals. Do we even have an own goal for this season?

    3-2 DCU.

DC goes up 2-0 early. Let’s in one before half.

Early second half NER level things. Olsen grabs a megaphone hidden underneath some zip locked sammiches in Ashton’s bag and let’s let’s Wayne Rooney verbally trash the team’s play and corral the team’s spirits via mobile phone call from a DC pub. Inspired for more playing time, Mattocks fine tunes his left boot and smashes in the winner ten minutes later when DC finally wins possession back from kickoff.

I think it's good they brought in Rooney to provide some competition for Mattocks.

Over/under on number of days until Mattocks requests a trade. 20?

Nope, he's got a good gig. Even if Rooney replaced him (and I don't think that is the plan), he's going to get 25-30 minutes a game and will actually get some advice and coaching from a player who does know a few things about attacking soccer.

Win or draw this is a must not lose game as far as I am concerned. We’re dangerously close to playoff elimination. We lose 2 of the next 3 and I think we’re done.

Maybe so, just remember this is a guy who raised a huge stink in Vancouver about pt and refers to himself in the third person.

Starting with the home opener, we have a tightly packed schedule. There's going a need for two options up top. And multiple options in midfield.

That begs an interesting point, if we go with 2 strikers to maximize Rooney, which I think we have to do. We only have 1 guy scoring goals at the moment and one other guy with colossal monkey on his back along with the soccer equivalent of Crash Davis in Dane Kelly. And then there's Bruno Miranda. Wikipedia has Asad, Brilliant, Miranda, Moreno, Ousted, Segura and Stieber occupying our available slots. Gotta think its Miranda who gets shuffled home or out to Richmond forever, once we need an international slot when Segura comes back? There aren't many free ones left anywhere in the league. The asking price is going to be high.

MLS Roster sez: Asad, Miranda, Mora, Moreno, Ousted, Segura, Stieber

I'd dump Segura first. We're logjammed at the 8. As it stands, Miranda's the only thing between us and being forced to play a skinny diamond with only one maurading fullback. We're out of outside midfielders, unless we're planning to play Mattocks and Kelly there.
