okay, so this is n&a by the slimmist of margins but, check it out. The ice is quite funny, especially when Clint gets into it. Gotta love Conrad as the new pitchman for ussoccer . . .

I absoloutely love all of these videos at ussoccer. It's really interesting watching all the guys interacting off the field and seeing all the different personalities this team has.

So icing the legs after alot of running helps them out?

If i did this after the first 2 days of a soccer tourney would it help me out?

It helps keep the muscles from "inflaming" and dulls out potential soreness. Helps overall recovery very well in my opinion.

7-10 minutes of ice like the trainer said. Ice bath is great. I'm sure Wayne Rooney will be doing plenty of that when his cast is off.

I liked when Landon came in "rapping" and Dempsey sighed like "dude, your an idiot." I wonder if he is just trying to get on Dempsey's level.

The theory behind it, that I saw on the BBC Rugby website, is that all the blood drains out of your legs(the numbness) and along with that the lactic acid. Therefore recovery time is quicker.

It works. We had a couple ice baths when I played in college. I used it after almost every practice and it really helped keep the pain of 2 a days in mid-August at a minimum.

    the concept is very sound

it merely must be done right

most people don't do things right... which is rather typical

that's why you bring in trainers

I noticed that too. It sounds to me like Dempsey gives Landon a disapproving "Chssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh". I can't tell if it's because Donovan is a dork or Dempsey is a d**k. I worry about Dempsey. He seems to spend all his time with Johnson, who seems great, but from media reports, is an ego-maniac. Then again, I don't think Bruce would call an ego-maniac into his camp. These US soccer.com videos are fantastic.

Dempsey seems to be kicking some butt in camp. If I'm not mistaken, he finished first in the day one running drill, and he was near the front of the pack in this days running drill (It looks like Wolf finishes first). GO CLINT!

Today's video about the "cooling off" machine was pretty damn funny.
It reminded me of the "Suck Cut" from Wayne's World. It certainly does suck!
Gooch was not impressed. That guy was lucky to escape with his life after showing off a lousy product, making up a bunch of bollocks to explain how it (doesn't) work and daring to touch our Lord and Savior Gooch's hand like that.

    "I don't know about all this technology man, too much . . . "
    -Gooch from today's video clip.

When Gooch started flexing his hand, I honestly thought he was about to club the guy. Borgetti Special.

That thing was weird. Looks like something old folks might want to use if they overdose on the niagra.
