No I don't think so. You are really underestimating Argentina.

I think we have the answer to the question "will Italians watch the World Cup?"

I'm calling it: Australia aren't beating Peru. They'll get eliminated next and be #23. Iceland, I think, is out, too. I don't see them beating Croatia. That leaves one of Argentina or Nigeria left to be eliminated tomorrow. I honestly have no idea what to expect in that match. The way Argentina's been playing so far makes me think they might flop and go out with another loss or draw. Then again, with the talent they have, surely they'll turn up when it really matters? Eh, what the hell, I'm calling it: Messi and co to flop. Croatia and Nigeria thru to the Round of 16.

I agree that Australia will likely not beat Peru.

I do however think that Argentina will make it. I know the way they have been playing has been very questionable, but I just think that with Messi and many of the others, they can pull it off. It will be close, but I think Argentina have enough to find the win despite the way they have been playing. Not to mention that Argentina should have beaten Iceland and were very unlucky. Croatia is an underrated team and one of my top picks to win the whole thing if you ask me. With Sampaoli not deciding the tactics (according to rumors), I believe they will make it. Maybe like a 3-2 win for Argentina, or maybe 4-2. And you are underestimating their defense as well. Yes not great, but only conceded one goal against Iceland, and the first goal was the goalie's fault completely. Modric's goal was world class that could have been scored against any defense. Third Croatian goal came from a counter which happened because Argentina were throwing every player forward to try and make the comeback.

    22. Iceland. Their match finished first as a 2-1 win to Croatia. Ivan Perisic netted the winner for Croatia in the 90th minute.
    21. Nigeria. Argentina proved me wrong with a late winner from Marcos Rojo, while Messi finally opened his World Cup account in the first half. I was fairly impressed by their first-half display. Their second-half display wasn't as good, in part because they gave away an unnecessary pk, but they did what they needed to do and got the result.

When will Croatia be eliminated? They look like an extremely tough team to beat. Not to mention it was almost their B team that beat Iceland.

Looking at the bracket, they're playing Denmark in the Round of 16. They should be favorites in that match. If they then get through that match, Spain likely awaits next (I don't think Russia beats Spain). That should be an interesting match. Croatia did beat Spain at Euro 2016, and Spain hasn't looked entirely convincing so far... Croatia to make the semis for the first time in two decades?

Maybe even the final. By the looks of it, they will likely face either England, Belgium, Mexico, or Colombia in the semis. All three teams that I feel are inferior by watching them all play.

Well, Australia at least achieved their aim of performing at the same level as nations like Germany.

Just one more team to be eliminated until Saturday. Either Japan, Colombia, or Senegal will join tomorrow...

Waka Waka - it's time for Africa... erm, to go home... no African teams in the round of 16. However, there's 1 AFC team left in Japan

    - both Ronaldo and Messi go out onthe same day. End of an era I guess. Is this the beginning of a new one with Neymar and Mbappe dominating...

Gosh I hope Cavani is ok to play against France. That injury concerned me a bit.

Yeah I just guess his national team is not really strong enough though for the WC. Let's see if Salah can also repeat his performances from this season

He was, at the very least, better than Neymar.
