This goalie is not giving me confidence ,too erratic and giving free plays. After the goal ,team looks like they dialed it down, come on,we need to keep that pressure.Playing with just Campana up front ,is not working out to well,I hope Celico brings Plaza to shake it up a bit.

One can see how important Porozo is for our defense. Good job to the boys and I hope the results go our way tomorrow.

If Ukraine wins today, Ecuador is assured the round of 16.

We take on Uruguay on Monday. I have faith Ecuador will be better prepared to face them this time.

Weirdly enough I agree lol this experience in the world cup has exposed the boys weaknesses and now they know what to work on moving forward.

P.S. pls work on penalties in case of a penalty shootout :whistling:

Agree our classification was alot harder than Uruguay. Compared to us their group was a walk in the park.

This is where we work hard for a come back they will pay for beating us twice in sudamericano. And in all reality us beating them and advancing is a realistic goal.

This is a team we are familiar with. We have harden our mentality abit after those tough games. Celico knows we barely made it here and have to show of strong now to give us the good wc preformance this team was expected to give.

Is Dominguez the best goalie we really have available? He sucks so bad. Damn, this Copa America is going to be hard to watch, this team is seriously bad.

To be honest, I expected a lot worse.
Decent second half, Beder keeps on surprising me in this NT even as a Central Defender, makes me wonder how BSC might not be using him right, Great match by Velasco and Quintero.
The negatives? Chicaiza freaking sucks, how are we playing with a "10" and not call up Cazares and/or Sornoza, Fidel, Gaibor, heck even Cristian Aleman is better.
Garcez has no business being the starter, hes not even the best forward in Delfin.
Lastly, Orejuela was awesome, cant wait to pair him up with Mendez.

I agree that the 2nd half was much better once the “starters” came in.
I also agree about Chicaiza, even as a Liga fan, he really sucks. Even in Liga he sucks, the only good thing he has done is made that crucial goal in Libertadores, and that’s about it.
I think there are other forwards in Ecuador that would be better suited to back up Enner as well. He is the only one that did anything up front today.

As I said in my previous post, this is probably going to end up being a terrible and embarrassing tournament for Ecuador... again. No one seems to be excited about NT at all. The coach has not brought ANY sense of hope to this team. He should be fired after Copa America. I think everyone rather watch the U20 compete than the actual NT. We are in a very sad moment right now. I even doubt Ecuador will make it to the World Cup with Bolillo.

It's sad that we have great talents coming up and no coach to help them reach the next level.

The new FEF should fire the coach after the Copa America. He's only here for his paycheck and nothing else.

Dam dude we did. Now we face Either France or USA. Looking at France they seem to have had an easy Group to qualify. Which ever team we face we have to beat cause in semi final we could face either Japan, Korea, Senegal or Nigeria. This could be a solid chance to go straight to the finals guys.

Also this win helped us overcome this mental hurdle the boys had. Now I think they'll be confident taking on any team from this point forward

This. Probably the most important win in their careers. That hurdle is often that hardest to break through.
